Horsforth-born Matt Healy, known from MasterChef: The Professionals, is excited to announce he’s expanding with a new restaurant in Ilkley while continuing his work in Horsforth.

Matt’s ‘food to swear by’ brand has become a favourite in the Leeds dining scene, earning recognition with a 2024Michelin Plate for the 3rd consecutive year and a mention in The Good Food Guide. Now, he's bringing the same style of modern British cooking to Ilkley.

MasterChef judge Marcus Wareing once described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted,” and Jay Rayner’s review in The Guardian simply stated, “Bloody hell, that’s good” (though not in those exact words).

With this new Ilkley opening, Matt and his experienced team are looking forward to serving up great food and service, both in Ilkley and back home in Horsforth.

Had a wonderful time at Forde Ilkley. The food was sublime. And as a non drinker I was pleased with the sofa drinks available- the homemade lemonade was wonderful. The staff were excellent. I can’t fault it. Will definitely be going again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Our first visit. A warm welcome from the staff who were happy to explain how the tapas process works. The food was delicious and just the right quantity. Excellent wine choices at sensible prices. A really great experience. We will be back for sure.

It was our first time at Forde and we went for an early evening meal with friends. The food was decent overall. What was not was being reminded three times during the course of being there about how much time we had left before the table was required again, including being told “if you want desert you need to order it now as you won’t have time”. Really spoiled the experience given that we ordered promptly so were not delaying anything from our side. Shame as we enjoyed the food and would recommend more highly otherwise.
