Within the Holiday Inn Manchester Airport located at Terminal 2 Manchester International Airport there are two exceptional dining options Firin and Open Lobby.

Firin, Modern Turkish Cuisine is a contemporary vision of the traditional Istanbul pide salon. The luxury interior is centered around the open theatre kitchen. The signature dish, Pide is a Turkish style pizza laden with fine ingredients. The core menu is complimented with authentic Ottoman dishes. We ordered chicken shish , lamb Adana kebab , firinda patlican and a side of fries. Plus a bottle of Turkish white wine and a coke zero It was a long wait to order - and then drinks didn’t arrive until just before food because the bar was very busy and they were a little understaffed. The food came but they had got one dish wrong , instead of a lamb Adana , they brought me a shakshouka… So while my family ate - I had to wait another 5-10 minutes. The fries also didn’t arrive until we asked. The food overall was fine but portions are very small for the prices. The kebabs are £18-£19 and only came with one kebab/shish on a thin (but tasty) flatbread and a mixed salad of mostly lettuce and a small pot of tsatsiki Any normal Turkish restaurant would have two kebabs. Felt a little cheated as airport restaurant so a bit trapped. Had some puddings and they were nice but also a little expensive.

Staff very courteous and helpful - service time excellent food excellent vegetarian choice limited but available choice’s were delicious. Overall a very pleasant experience

A good airport hotel restaurant. Turkish themed. Do not expect the world but it is pretty good. Really nice friendly polite staff served us.

The food was tasty and service was good too. It was lovely to have the mezzo style food to share with family, and the flat breads were particularly tasty.

The food was a amazing it was a bit expensive but it is in a airport hotel so I wasn’t expecting it to be cheep but for the food to be as good as it was that was a shock

Typical airport hotel restaurant very expensive small portions items not available and staff very busy so no personal service can be given as they are to busy You can’t even say you get what you pay for as you don’t they take advantage of where you are and over change for example £9.50 for very small run of the mill cheesecake

Service was non existent Food was nice Drinks were flat Big drama about putting food on room bill (there for 5 nights) made to feel like a criminal with a member of staff running round telling staff members to pay a bill wouldn’t eat here again 2 small dishes & 4 drinks £81 very expensive for what it is & the service you receive!

This is the 2nd time we have eaten here when we have stayed- the first time was amazing - food was excellent, service was excellent - but this time wasn’t as good The service was very slow in comparison but I know it’s was busy but we waited over half an hour after our starter was cleared before receiving our main course The portions also seemed smaller than before- I had the Turkish lamb stew which tasted lovely however there wasn’t a lot as last time I had so much I couldn’t quite finish it, my husband and son has had the chicken kebab and last time he got more chicken- it was still a nice meal but something was lacking this time One thing we had an issue with is the service charge which couldn’t be seen anywhere on the menu yet they charged us 12.5% which I think is outrageous! We always leave a very good tip and we always tip accordingly but ours worked out at £18 which we complained about and had it removed - I hate service charges as you could have crap service and still fork out a huge service charge- we still left a good tip but think it’s bad when not even on the menu it’s on the online menu not the one in the restaurant
