El Firefly Grill es un moderno restaurante de carretera ubicado a orillas de Kristie Lake. El chef Niall Campbell y su esposa Kristie son los propietarios y gestores de este oasis de cocina creativa estadounidense en el centro de la región de Midwest. El menú de platillos del Firefly cambia todos los días y ofrece marisco fresco, filetes al fuego de leña de roble y pizzas elaboradas en un horno de ladrillo. New years eve tasting was amazing!!! Our server made the night so fun, relaxing and made us feel so so welcome. Food was delicious, tasted fresh, the perfect sizes .... I will be watching for the next tasting.

The food was amazing along with the service. My 15 year old son is hard to please and he wants to go back tomorrow lol. It was our 21st wedding anniversary and everything was perfect! We will be back soon!

King crab and shrimp stew was fantastic and filet was one of the best I’ve ever had. I could cut it with a fork!

We had a most wonderful time and the food was delicious. We don't go often but its a treat when we do go.

Fantastic service. Fantastic food. Fifty bucks for a pour of Pappy 15 year…. I feel like that’s kinda steep! There was also a random surcharge added to our tab with no explanation.

Our second time here and everything was as wonderful as the first time. I had the salmon the last time and was hoping to branch out to the crab cakes. But our server Victoria steered me right. She said it’s a different preparation from the last time and you will love it. It was divine and though I usually eat only half of what I order — I ate almost the whole thing. The salmon was cooked perfectly and instead of sitting on rice or potato purée it sat on three divine lemon ravioli . It also had a wonderful combination sauce I cannot describe. It is amazing to my husband and me that this gem of a restaurant is in Effingham IL. It would be a top hiot spot in any major city. How lucky we are to get a great meal as we drive between Chicago and Nashville.

Came to Firefly for a family Christmas celebration. Only 3 people so our server was able to keep on top of refills, special requests, etc. Hubby loves fine dining and thoroughly enjoyed his meal! Grandchild tried a new food (for them) and was pleasantly surprised at how great it was. I appreciated the variety of the menu even though I stuck to my favorite, Steak! Of course the desserts were luscious. Firefly will be our 'extra special' destination in the future.
