Fashion Café is located in Via San Marco, a short distance from the historically famed Brera Beautiful Arts Academy, in a building designed by Vico Magistretti in the 1950s which is surrounded by a host of exhibition galleries, art workshops, and some of the most prestigious design showrooms internationally.

Not a place to go if 1) you are on your own especially as a single female and 2) you want good service or any attention. I was not greeted at the door, completely ignored. Finally went to the bar and asked the bartender for help. When I was seated, I told them I was there for dinner. I was brought out a drink menu, asked what I'd like to drink, gave that order and then never saw anyone again. Tried a number of times to flag someone down or get their attention but as they went by word redirect their eyes so they would not have to acknowledge me.
I finished my drink and had to go to the bar to pay my bill.
I am travelling for work, so I am on my own, I do not mind eating or being out on my own. I am and was prepared to have a full dinner and drinks, which would have added up to a good size bill. The lack of attention was completely unacceptable. I am here in Milan for a few months. I will have clients and friends that I will be entertaining. I will not be back to this place. It is unfortunate as it seemed like the place to be, it was quite energetic with a nice outdoor space. Very disappointing. I ended up around the corner at another restaurant that welcomed me with open arms and made up for how my evening began.

We are really happy about our experience here. Food was great, as well as drinks. The place is cool and curated, with an atmosphere that reminds me NY. It was not so crowded but, I guess, it’s pretty common due to the holidays.

We booked a table because it was one of the plages where it seemed that we were not forced to pay for a whole New Year’s Eve menu. But when we turned up, we were told that we have to have the menu. Poor communication. And the food did not live up to the amount paid

Dear customer, allow us to say it hasn’t been a problem with poor communication but, more likely a problem with timing. You have booked at 22.12 pm of Dec 31st. Manage the booking during the nye service in less than 20 mins (you arrived at 22.25 pm) is most likely impossible. You have been immediately advised of the menù and no one forced you to stay. We did our best to please you request, changing dishes you didn’t like. You left the tip to the waiters, showing us, we guess, your satisfaction.

I really enjoyed my evening at Fashion Cafe, great place to meet friends for drinks and dinner. Really happy for vegan options in the menu, great selection of cocktails. Friendly english speaking staff is very helpful.

Great fancy venue when in Milan, never disappointing me. Great atmosphere, exquisite cocktails and well balanced wine and champagne list, delicious italian dishes (possibly one of the best restaurant in the area) and a friendly, professional staff. A destination for the ones looking for "la Milano da bere", from aperitivo till late night.
