Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength.
Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.
We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table.
Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

Food was delicious however the service felt rushed and uncaring. All of the food came out at once when there wasn’t enough room on the table for it all meaning stuff got cold, and wasn’t explained to us by our waitress that it wouldn’t be served as starter/mains. Farang is a local restaurant for us and although we would eat here again I think we’d get take away instead of dining in

Lovely food, excellent variety, great ambience and good service. The only thing that needs to improve is the dessert.

We had a wonderful lunch at Farang. The staff were really friendly, and the meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. We'd definitely like to go back and try more from their menu.

Food is very good, not so much in the ala cart menu . If you want the full menus, there is a wide choice and for vegetarian as well. The tasting menu must be taken by all the table so we let it go
