Ember Yard is the fourth restaurant from Salt Yard Group and has been influenced by our travels around Spain and Italy and their methods of cooking over charcoal and wood.

We commissioned and custom built a bespoke, Basque-style grill and sourced some amazing single species sustainable charcoal and wood from Kent to cook with. We use only the finest seasonal produce, and introduce – as has become our style – our spin on flavours of Spain and Italy.

Ember Yard is located in the heart of Soho and is a lovely two storey restaurant and bar, with an open plan kitchen on the ground floor and a cool and cosy bar on the lower ground floor. The same delicious menu is available throughout and we encourage you to come along before you dine to sample one of our specially created Ember-themed cocktails.

Incredible food - best tapas eaten in London or indeed Spain! Great service, slick and super friendly Sat at chef’s counter - amazing to watch and loved to engage and chat with us. Really memorable evening for our wedding anniversary and will definitely be coming back. Super cool bar downstairs too.

Food isn't bad, with an attractive menu that has a distinctive style. It's tasty and nicely presented, if perhaps a little overpriced for what it is. It's also not as original as it thinks - I've had lamb croquettes at 3-4 half-decent gastropubs in the past year, and while putting n'duja on everything might have been exciting once, that time was five years ago. Even so, the food and cocktails make for an enjoyable enough meal. Where this place lets itself down is the service, which isn't as attentive or as special as the menu might suggest. We were left to eke out a single cocktail over the whole meal, and gave up ordering a glass of wine at the end. While you expect tapas to come out as it's ready, it didn't come out at a pace that made for a relaxed meal, with dishes arriving and filling the table within 15 minutes of us sitting down and ordering cocktails. All in all, not bad, but feels like a bit of a identity crisis - is this a bar, nice restaurant, or a relaxed tapas joint? It can't seem to decide. Looking forward to trying the original sister restaurant Salt Yard, as it's a nice style of food they are aiming for.

Went for valentines. Patatas bravas were over cooked and dry. The salami Iberica is 6 tiny slivers of salami on a plate for £12. Over before it started and nothing remarkable. The chorizo dish was nice, prawn dish pleasant and other mains were good. I wasn’t amazed by any of it and overall wouldn’t return. Felt rushed to give the table back too.

We had high expectations, but on arrival were told the full Sunday roast wasn't available. The meat came out cold, after the vegetables and after telling the staff they fingered the meat before reheating it and sending it back out. We felt bad for complaining but got refunding one meat dish. Overall disappointing

Food is absolutely amazing. Every single dish was epic! We had chefs choice menu and it can’t go wrong to be fair. Service by Julia and Jose was top notch! Will come back any time again and again.
