Elk Ave Prime is located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte on Elk Avenue. We feature hand carved Prime and Wagyu steaks, Colorado lamb, Elk, Buffalo, fresh Seafood, farm to restaurant garden salads and more.

We feature many beers on tap, most of which are Colorado born, as well as the largest wine selection in the valley. You can enjoy any of our drinks from our outdoor patio or cozy up next to our fireplace, great after a long day of skiing.

Elk Ave Prime is one of the largest venues in Crested Butte, ideal for large parties or wedding receptions.

    We dined here twice this week. Both evenings were fantastic. Great food, amazing service and a cozy atmosphere. Love it!

    Very expensive and fair service. Dinner took an hour to come out and when finished we were left without service for 20 minutes just needing to pay the check. For the price of nearly $100 person it fell short of our expectations.

    We had 5 people- ordered a ribeye, filet, elk loin and a burger. All of the meat was very overcooked. Ordered medium rare to medium for everything and it came out medium to medium well. Burger was well done. $800 dinner with tip.

    Beautiful restaurant with excellent service. The braised short rib appetizer was delicious. Beet salad dressing was not our favorite. Elk was chewy and hard to cut through strap. Cocktails were very fruity even after ordering very light on juice. Brussels sprouts had way too much cheese on them. Nice dinner but for the price it was disappointing.

    Matt was our waiter and was very attentive and friendly. The evening was great and we will definitely return. Menu is pricey but worth it. Food is really good and the cocktail menu is terrific. Desserts are fantastic.

    Steaks were fabulous as usual, but we were disappointed with the seafood. We preferred the old menu which we always looked forward to the amazing food experience.

    We have been visiting Elk for years, now, and we enjoy it. When we recently went, the prices had increased exponentially, and the food was not worth the price increase. We found it to be a bit alarming and offensive to charge that much.
