Your local in the heart of the city. Tucked away just off Princes Street in amongst the boutiques of Rose Street you’ll find a modern Scottish bar with food and drinks that have been intimately created and served with pride.

Our food is of traditional Scottish heart with plenty of modern twists.

Come down and try our brand new brunch menu, available Saturday and Sunday 10am-12pm

Every month we give a craft Scottish distillery their time to shine with our In Gin Cocktail Menu.

Great pub lunch before the rugby, also showed another game on tv in the restaurant area. Restaurant and bar area are separate so only people that have booked to eat are in that section, meaning it was reasonably quiet and roomy compared to the bar area which was rammed. Service was a tad slow because of this but that was to be expected and we had loads of time. Very friendly staff and nice food

An amazing hidden gem! Don’t be put off by the rowdy pub as you walk in…you go thru that to restaurant at back which is far quieter. First to mention is the service. We have not had such brilliant service in…..forever. The lady that served us had the best personality, the whole restaurant loved her. Food was amazing….food sounds like standard pub food steak pie, fish and chips, chicken Balmoral etc but this is pub food with a difference. Absolutely delicious more bistro like and 5 star standard. Steak pie is just steak pie right? No served with greens and herb mashed potatoes. You genuinely savoured every bite. Can’t get across how non pub like the food was. Brilliant! We will def be back.

Great place in the heart of Edinburgh. Service was attentives and friendly. Food has been outstanding. We recommand Élément, good place to have a drink or to eat.

Absolutely fabulous time on Saturday! Lively atmosphere in the pub followed by a delicious and well presented meal in the dining room. Excellent service and friendly staff make you feel welcome. Highly recommend Element. We will be back, -Lynda D.

Food was great although Yorkshire puddings had probably been sitting a bit too long. They let themselves down a bit with slow pudding service but they did apologize and gave us a free drink. Quiet sunday night i imagine but more boisterous Friday/ Saturday
