   Preciosos lugar , la comida excelente , nos encantó los pasteles que ponen y las mimosas comimos en el Patio y muy agradable

   Always like going here. My mom’s friend was in town and they are both in their 80’s. I called a couple days ahead and asked if we could move our reservation inside because it was supposed to rain. They called me right back and said they had moved it. When we arrived we were seated outside -sorry that was just a request - worked ok, but probably would have gone somewhere else had we known we were outside. We all had our coats on the whole time so the normally cool ambiance was dimmed…

   We had an amazing experience at El Chorro. The food was cooked perfectly. The service was exceptional. Tye was great. Very attentive without being too intrusive.

   Very slow to be seated even though we arrived at our reservation time. Then we were seated in a poorly heated back room and had to ask to be relocated to somewhere with heat on a blustery 40 something degree evening. This was inconvenient, but the main issue was that the food just wasn’t very good. Beef Stroganoff was overpowered by onions. Chilean Sea Bass was a bit overcooked with a bizarre side dish that I couldn’t even identify (I thought it was supposed to be potatoes, maybe it was turnips???). Anyway, it overall was icky. Even one of our longtime favorite dishes, the shrimp cocktail, was only so so, with a dipping sauce that was another hard to identify concoction. El Chorro has been a go to for us for years, but after tonight, we won’t be going back in the foreseeable future. I wonder if it was sold to some kind of a corporate chain? The only vestige of its previous quality was the signature sticky buns. They remain delicious, but I would not order any of the other items we had again. My advice is just don’t go; spend your time and money elsewhere.

   The Oysters Rockefeller is the Best I’ve had, hands down, in years! Order it! The service is always attentive and consistent, so bring your friends to enjoy a first class meal and culinary experience.
