Dolly's café is named after the Dolly Sisters, a pair of glamorous identical twins who entertained audiences in the 1920s alongside our founder Harry Gordon Selfridges – with their enchanting performances.

Our art deco-inspired café, located at the heart of the store, is the perfect place to enjoy the great British tradition of afternoon tea.
Treat someone special or yourself to our exquisite range of teas, coffees, pastries and sandwiches as well as our stunning Champagne Afternoon Tea.

The Confetti Spectacle

Get into the Christmas spirit with Santa’s and the Christmas characters for the confetti cannon. As a Keyholder, book the best seat in the house and enjoy a festive afternoon tea at Dolly’s for the occasion. Dolly's Cafe Festive Afternoon Tea for £49.95 per person or with a glass of Selfridges Selection Brut Champagne for £59.95 per person. Weekday tables bookable at 5pm and weekends tables at 3pm. Confetti Spectacle is at 6pm on weekdays and 4pm weekends. The experience is bookable ONLY with an afternoon tea, option for champagne Afternoon Tea and non-champagne Afternoon Tea.

The confetti cannon is probably more than anyone needs to experience. If they give you an umbrella to protect yourself and your food from what’s to follow, it’s probably a sign you shouldn’t be there! And the singing, ah geez…

Was seated with no vue of the confetti spectacular considering I paid for that. We were seated separately from family and children. No refills offered plus no explanation of the afternoon tea menu

This was disappointing. The bread was dry and most of the sandwiches were bland and not freshly made. There was no choice in cake. You got what you were given. One cake each. Service was good considering how busy it was but the food was a let down.

A great little cafe in the basement in the heart of Selfrdges. We were a little disappointed with the afternoon tea and found it expensive at £50 pp. Then a service charge added on top. Sandwiches were a bit soggy and mini filled rolls a bit dry. It was a lovely experience with my friend but expected a little bit more high end for that money. Service was great, especially Bruno who was lovely.

We had the most loveliest time when we visited Dolly’s. We got seated straight away and the service by the staff was incredibly, we were made to feel very special. The food and drink was all very yummy also. Would certainly come back

Awful. The area is far too loud with music blaring out, we waited over 45 minutes for our afternoon tea so ended up having to cancel it as we would be late to our show. Complained and still got charged £18 for four cups of tea. Awful experience.

I booked at for afternoon tea We ordered one afternoon tea a soup and a cream tea. The waitress asked me to choose a cake which I did The soup came quickly followed by the afternoon tea . However we were still waiting 30 minutes later for the cream tea. We refused it in the end. The cake I chose wasn’t on the afternoon tea When I mentioned it they took one cake away and brought another cake Not the one I had chosen By this time I had given up. Really disappointed.

The afternoon tea was lovely. It would be nice idea if they could have served completely water to the table as it was so hot in there and everyone was complaining it was too hot.
