I had high expectations for this restaurant, but my experience was extremely disappointing. My reservation was at 6 PM, just one hour after they opened, yet they were already out of multiple menu items. How does a restaurant run out of food that quickly? I ordered a single crab cake for $32, and it had an overwhelming fishy taste—definitely not worth the price. The bacon appetizer was downright awful. For a restaurant with premium pricing, the quality was unacceptable. To make matters worse, this was supposed to be my birthday dinner, and I couldn’t enjoy a single bite. After paying $52 for a crab cake and an inedible appetizer, I had to leave and find another restaurant just to salvage the evening. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I won’t be returning.

Very cool place with great ambiance. Food ok not great. Mac n cheese was awful and server offered to “upgrade” to their special crab and lobster Mac n cheese, failed to mention $86 for tiny bowl. It was probably one of the worst Mac n cheese dishes I’ve ever had seafood aside. Very little seafood, but consistency flavor etc of just the Mac n cheese part was awful, worse than cheese whiz! Server failed to mention the price and it was not listed at all on the menu because it’s so “special”. It’s criminal! Also our server was extremely pushy trying to get us to order things we didn’t want. We have been to many of Chicago’s best steak houses and this place doesn’t even almost make the cut. Never Again!

Our waiter was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. The staff was professional and attentive. The food was delicious and the live entertainment was great. Some items were a litte pricey, but for a Chicago steakhouse it was expected. The address numbers could've been more noticeable because the address next door lights up and I thought that the address was wrong it was just hard to see at night. I lovec that there was valet parking but they pulled the car up across the street next to parked truck and a sheet of ice so I had to take extra precautions to get in my vehicle. Otherwise I will definitely visit again. The freshest oyster Rockefeller and the tastiest crab cake I've had thus far!

Went for my birthday this past weekend. Great place to celebrate. As far as the food, it could be better in taste and how it’s cooked. I ordered the ribeye (medium), it was overcooked. Flavor was just okay. Brussels sprouts were good and wedge salad was very good. I love the chunky pieces of bacon in my salad. I tried my guest food, which she had the chicken, it wasn’t bad. It could have been seasoned a bit more. However, the food wasn’t horrible. The bathroom, entrance , dining area (we were upstairs) balcony area, servers and host did a FINE job (very welcoming and friendly). Beautiful inside. Low light setting. Nice!

Prior to my fiancée and I’s Valentines Day reservations on Saturday, I read a couple Google reviews rating Divan poorly due to their lack of service. Our dinner reservations were at 8:45pm, our waiter didn’t greet us for twenty minutes and when he did - he didn’t apologize for the delay in service or wait. After he took our order for drinks, appetizers and main course it took an hour to receive our appetizers. Despite it being Valentine’s Day weekend, the restaurant wasn’t busy. However, the live music was beautiful and the food was pretty good! I’m 100% positive I won’t be dinning here again because of the long wait time and 20% service charge for mundane and nonchalant service.

My boyfriend and I came here from Nebraska to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Safe to say I was beyond disappointed with the service and the food for the price. We expected chicago food/service to be up to par if not better than Omaha. Safe to say the food was not good and our meal was 500$. I will not be coming back here EVER. Our Valentine’s Day was ruined because we came here. I am beyond irritated, I have a lot of patience since I work in the restaurant industry but we had to ask multiple times for different things just to not get it at all. We waited an hour and a half in between appetizers to order the entree. The steak was disgusting and it was supposed to be Waygu grade. A waste of money and time. Wow.

Nothing on the night of reservations indicated a Valentines Day set menu so we didn’t get much if a choice.
