In an attempt to honor the history of our beautiful building, the third Melon Bank ever built, we pay homage to its past! We chose period correct lighting and finishes from 1940 to bring it all together!

Della Terra which translates to “of the earth” transforms the essence of a small town eatery. Centrally located in historic downtown Zelienople, our goal is to capture the warmth and comfort of an Italian trattoria. Chefs reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that pulls inspiration from the Italian cooking tradition to create meaningful food, celebrating the restaurant’s ongoing relationship with its local family of farmers and suppliers.

Second time here, ordering the 5 course meal with wine pairing. This time around, the food wasn't as good, but we were still generally pleased. The wine, however, wasn't as good as the first time. I would consider skipping the wine paring next time. In addition, we had to split a relatively small creme brulee for the last course. Our waitress was serving no less than 20 people (the entire packed second floor, as well as some on the first floor, which I imagine equates to 8 or 9 tables), which made the service a little erratic; food coming out well before wine, courses coming out at breakneck speed, etc. I had to ask them to slow down as we had not finished a course and they were setting the next course on the table. Kind of awkward. But I get that sometimes these things happen. The food was above average, and worth the price. We will be back again. It's a nice venue (though VERY noisy), and a unique experience.

Everything was absolutely delicious - wonderful dining experience! Our server Ryan was outstanding & all who assisted were very attentive as well.

Absolutely our favorite spot! The food, service and ambiance is the best! We also thank you for accommodating our reservation request! A gem in Zelienople! The fried artichokes are amazing!!!! A must get :)

Apps were good, we ordered drinks. They charge $1.50 for an extra dirty martini. Really our drinks were not even dirty . The pizzas, we ordered 3. 2 came out cold. How is Shay possible from a 800 degree oven. the third was wet. It was a calzone style pizza and the answer from the manager was “it has a lot of ingredient’s”. Seriously? Absolutely not worth driving more than 10 minutes to visit. Better pizza form your local pizza place and better drinks made from a street vendor.

So many rules on a Friday night. Happy hour price must be seated at the bar. Seated at a booth near the bar? Happy hour food prices but not on drinks even though the complete happy hour menu is on your table. What if there is one person seated at the bar and one has to stand? So many rules.
