What Dear John’s is to steak, Dear Jane’s will be to seafood. Seasoned chefs and entrepreneurs Hans Röckenwagner and Josiah Citrin have teamed up again for Dear Jane's. Taking full advantage of the stunning marina view, the focus is on classic American seafood dishes prepared simply with the highest-quality ingredients by seasoned chefs. From Oysters Rockefeller to Shrimp Louie, Surf ‘n Turf and Crepes Zuzette, the menu hews to those of some of the most legendary seafood restaurants of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It will feel familiar and upscale, yet updated and approachable.

This sensibility will be on full display with hand-mixed tartare, classic caviar service, and professionally fileted whole fish. The layout of the split-level room and spacing between booths and tables are ideal for this personalized service that is begging to come back in style in this dining room.

Food was lovely as usual, strangely coffee and tea was unavailable due to all machines broken (no access to boiling water for tea)

A perfect dinner after the Mdr boat parade. The food was delicious and the service was quite enjoyable.

Everything was lovely, but the food. So average. The shrimp cocktail was lovely . The chopped salad was greasy and not chopped and small . The cioppino was a disaster . The scampi had shrimp, the size of a nickel . And let’s not get into the ridiculous, tiny, cocktails, and pours of wine . No cake for a birthday celebration. No thank you.

The bar area and Happy Hour are great! We loved our cocktails, vibe and music> We then went into the dining room for a delicious dinner and great service.

Dear Jane’s is always a pleasure, another neighborhood gem for a group that specializes in them (Dear John’s, Charcoal, Citrin/Melisse). The Thanksgiving fair was varied and wonderful. Everything from the turkey to the green beans was savory and delicious. Living close, we’ll be back soon!
