Cypress is a new restaurant opened by a real veteran of Steamboat dining, Collin Kelley. He's done a marvelous job of revamping the former Carl's and the "new" restaurant is really welcoming and comfortable. They have also worked very hard to mitigate the omnipresent noise we find in most other restaurants. We have been twice so far and both times were very pleased with the menu and with the food itself and are especially excited that it leans towards "southern cooking", an unfilled niche here. My advise is to reserve early because this new Kelley production is going to be a winner and late reservations may be very hard to come by.

Seriously incredible food and gorgeous environment. It’s not too fancy or too casual. It’s a great date spot or family night out. Fun for a group of friends. The cocktails are fabulous and the food is comforting and delicious. We will be back again and again. Highly recommend everyone check it out in Steamboat. We had a variety of dishes and every single one did not disappoint. They have great options for kids too. Not a generic Mac and cheese but quality food options even for the littles. Love.

The food was delicious. The old fashioned very good. The service was excellent--our waitress was friendly, efficient, and happy. The staff was great--from the runners to the owners--made us feel comfortable, came over to talk. Lots on the menu to go back and try and we will soon.

Great new much needed addition to SB. Beautiful renovation. All our food was very good- nice combination of old Carls classics & new southern flair dishes. Service was terrific! We’ll be back many times..
