    Excellent food...flavours just perfect! Generous serving sizes. Amazing range of wines! Loved the ambience of the place too. We will be back!!!

    Wonderful night at the revamped Cru Bar. A long time favourite has just got better. From the interesting menu that delivered in spades to the extensive wine list and top notch service. Between five of us we tried many of the menu items and everyone raved. Something to note - the shared plates really should be shared. We all chose two ‘entrees/ shared’ items and the portions are generous. Good value for a delightful night out.

    It was a great venue and the majority of food was great. The pork croquettes were over cooked and greasy and probably because we asked for the sauce on the side it was really obvious. We didnt eat it and complained to the waiter but we’re still charged $26 for them which I thought was pretty poor. Waiters were very young and inexperienced and for a wine cellar I’d expect a cork bottle wine would be given the opportunity to taste before it was poured. The general manager was floating around taking great delight in telling people he was the toilet cleaner as well - weird. Perhaps understanding why people were sending food back uneaten might have been a better use of his time.

    Food was good. Service was abysmal. There wasn’t any. Heaps of staff floating around but no one came near us. Extremely disappointing.

    Visited on Friday night, a friend who regularly visits from melbourne and stays at the Callie and we always go to cru on her first night. Arrived for a 7:45pm booking for two people to a table with one chair. An awkward 4 mins later the lovely waitress arrived with a stool for my guest. Ordered oysters, 4 of the 5 cheeses , hummus plate and a bottle of wine. They then arrived with a Proper chair for my guest. We had some good chats with the manager, though he was a bit boastful about is 18 year long staff discount. Struggled to get our glasses refilled from the bottle of wine we’d bought and had to ask twice for a second one. New bathrooms are great!
