On a mission to share the beauty of Mexican culture through food, Chef Johnny Curiel opens Cozobi Fonda Fina as an encore to his beloved LoHi restaurant, Alma Fonda Fina. Named after Cozobi, the Zapotec god of corn, Cozobi Fonda Fina is rooted in Mexico’s centuries-old corn nixtamalization traditions and wood-fire cooking techniques that define its rich food history.

Definitely enjoyed all the food here (an app, two ceviches, two tacos, carne asada, bass). All amazing, fresh, flavorful. Sitting at the chef’s table was a great choice. Staff was wonderful! Avocado margarita was lovely. I only say noise level was moderate because it was busy which is good!

Super interesting and unique dishes. Servers where very engaging. Interesting wine choices from Mexico that were delicious with the food.

Once again, our experience was amazing sitting at the Chef's Counter. The chef's know their stuff in this kitchen, and it's a learning experience too when the chef's describe the ingredients and process for each dish. These chefs are passionate about their food and the ingredients used. The cocktails are very creative and perfect. We will be back again and again.

Every dish was delicious. We ordered a bunch of things to share and weren't disappointed once. For some reason, this location always has amazing (but short-lived) restaurants. We hope Cozobi sticks around for the long haul!

Great experience and the food is just outstanding! I can no longer single out a dish, it’s a place where you just have to try as much as you can! Hands down one of my all time favorite places to eat! The service is awesome as well.

This place is fab!! The food, the drinks, the service (thanks Sam!). We went for happy hour and had all the bites and everything was delicious. Love the ceviche and guacamole (with amazing onions on top). Will definitely return.
