Reservations are for Cowa-Sake dinning room. We have availability for Walk-ins in our extended dining room, sushi bar, and main bar. Please give us a call for any further assistance.

We are an urban fusion restaurant serving up food inspired by Japanese cuisine, highlighting the highest quality fish and incorporating traditional techniques combined with street food vibes, and busting out our signature Imagine One Hospitality Yeast Rolls for our burgers, sliders, and bento boxes. Our energy is the highest, our vibe is the most fun, our ingredients are the freshest, and our honor is to serve it all up! Utilizing local purveyors and vendors, we are staying true to the Lackeys vision of supporting and enriching our community. We have even tapped into theatrics to really elevate our guest experience! Great place for dinner in Hickory with great food and even better service. Just bring cash because they charge you for using a credit card. Other than that, you won’t regret eating here.

We took our son here for his birthday and we were very happy with everything. The ambience was cozy and festive (for the holidays). Loved the paper lamps that changed colors and the cool soy sauce bottles. I love little details like that. The staff was super friendly. The sushi was fresh and delicious. We don’t have many good food options in Hickory and we were grateful to have found this place. We will be back for sure!

Great service and the food was excellent. There was a good crowd but our drinks and food arrived at the table right on time. Will definitely be back to try out some of the other menu items.

First time making reservations for this restaurant and it was really easy. Loved the availability especially for having decided last minute. Ambience was great, not too close to other parties but enough to have an intimate conversation. The food was delicious ! Especially the Wagyu Nigiri, the drinks were phenomenal!! Finally a place who’s invested in getting real talent. Other restaurants have terrible cocktails. Absolutely would return.

My first time there, waitress was great and knowledgeable. Food was awesome and priced very affordably. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. we had two 7 year olds with us and things went very well, defiantly will return....without the kids, lol!

Terrible experience Friday night. First we hate being seated in the Rooster. It’s not the experience we really want. Sitting over there you feel forgotten. Service was beyond bad. Food was just ok. Ordered the bag of donuts for desert and instead of the 4 dipping sauces they brought 2…… and those 2 were mayonnaise and sweet and sour dipping sauce like for an egg roll. Who does that stuff??? We eat in downtown a couple of times a week but we’re striking Cowa Sake off our list for good.
