   Small portions on the fixed menu. The chicken breast was just a slice which was very dry and tough. Pudding was better and would recommend the dessert

   Had some late lunch together with my toddler and food and service was again great!!!!

   Booked only 45 mins before turning up on 2nd jan - given a banquette seat as requested. There was a table with noisy children adjacent that detracted from the ambience somewhat. Poulet Breton not available (:sad) but we were offered the chicken fillet and mushroom sauce from the prix fixe menu - which was v good although the sauce was a little too peppery. We enjoyed the chicken liver parfait x 2, chocolate mousse and crepe aux bananes - all very good. 3 courses for £21.95 a head is only a little more than many of the main courses cost from the menu, so a good deal. Round of drinks, coffees, bread and a side portion of the excellent cauliflower cheese brought the bill (with tip) to £39/head which was reasonable. Service a bit slow and hit and miss at times e.g. chocolate sauce missing from banana dessert - had to be prompted and we had to ask twice before being provided with extra milk. Overall - very good.

   Was once again great and really enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly and forthcoming and the food is always very tasty.

   I was told by the manager that Christmas Day service was a new thing for Cote. Sadly it showed. Very crowded with long service delays. Good food but poor, confused service. One barman fulfilling table drink orders, making cocktails and coffee too on his own. Server's bringing food out of kitchen and returning to the kitchen not knowing where to take it or not the right order or, as in our case, a third offer of starter, when we told staff we had eaten already. Cote tried to fit in too many seats and sittings for the time period. As I told the manager it would be better to have 100 happy, returning customers rather than 200 disgruntled, with poor reviews etc. A number of complaints around us. Our planned 90 minute meal extended to nearly 180 minutes so we missed a Christmas Day Carol service in Worcester Cathedral.
