Coombe - The Melba Estate es un establecimiento de origen inigualable que ocupa la antigua casa de Dame Nellie Melba. El restaurente ofrece una experiencia cultural y gastronómica única, con 2,8 hectáreas de jardines impresionantes e instalaciones preciosas, las cocheras restauradas y la torre del reloj. El restaurante, ubicado en las cocheras restauradas y la torre del reloj histórica, sirve platillos a la carta y un menú degustación, preparados por el chef executive Tony Milton.                                                         Welcoming and friendly staff who provided a wonderful experience for my friends birthday. Thankyou for all the special birthday bubbles, greetings and birthday chocolate which added to the great tasting food, well presented and very delicious. Warming to see so many people enjoying the homestead gardens and we enjoyed the Melba museum. Thank you

                                                        A friend and I booked the garden tour prior to having the three courses. The tour was delightful and the guide clearly loved the place and was professional and well informed. The food was perfection. Both had the barramundi for mains and it was something we continued to think about all day as it was incredible, baked into a soft pillow of lovely moist fish in a creamy but not heavy sauce of little clams and prawns with dill. We chose to enjoy it with the amazing crunchy potatoes. For dessert we had the amazing Peach Melba which was accompanied with divine home made vanilla ice cream. Pastry was beautiful. Again it was moorish without being heavy. Highly recommend!!! Will be back!

                                                        I highly recommend Coombe Yarra Valley. We did the combined garden and house tour with lunch. The tour is fascinating and the food afterwards was really nice. The food was fresh and delicious - recommend the Melba Tart. It is a fascinating piece of Australian history that should not be missed. Overall great value.
