Perched atop The Newbury Hotel like a crown jewel, Contessa is a grand destination. This Christmas, celebrate at Contessa with an extraordinary four-course prix-fixe. Start with a variety of anti-pasti like the Burrata with Caviar and the Chianina Carpaccio, before moving into satisfying pastas. Feast on Prime Rib and Grilled Mediterranean Branzino and finish with Nutella Fudge Cake and Panettone. Cancellations may be made up to 1 week in advance at 5pm. Cancellations after that date will forfeit the deposit. Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion. Any guest who does not appear sufficiently well-presented may be refused entry. No shorts, open-toed shoes, or tank tops. Athletic wear and baseball caps are kindly prohibited. If you have any questions, please email holidays@majorfood.com for more information.

Llegamos 5 minutos antes a nuestra reservacion y la Host (mujer) nos hizo esperar cuando a otros clientes los hacia pasar. Luego nos quiso sentar en una mesa alta y le manifeste que mi Esposa sufria de la espalda. La Host me respondio que se iba a demorar unos 20 minutos o mas para sentarnos en una mesa normal. Finalmente nos sentaron en una mesa cerca a la entrada donde no pudimos conocer el Restaurant. El servicio estuvo regular ya que no nos sirvieron la cesta de pan y la respuesta del mesonero es que se habian quedado sin pan. Se demoraron con las bebidas. La comida estuvo muy buena. Indiferentemente de las actitudes del host y el mesonero regresaremos a Contessa ya que nos gusta mucho el lugar. Gracias!

Absolutely incredible. I went for my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend and it was well worth the steep price. We had the fresh Burrata as our appetizer, she had the Fettuccine Bolognese, I had the Saered Scallops, and we got 2 desserts… the Coffee Gelato and the Crema di Boston. Food was awesome, server was attentive and nice, but the best part was the ambiance and the view. My god. Super awesome experience!

Contessa was fantastic! My mom and I went for a ladies’ lunch, just the two of us, and it was such a lovely time. The food was delicious and the service was pretty good. The decor and location are wonderful and we are definitely going to be back! I had the squash carpaccio, she had a insalada verde, we split the spicy lobster with gluten free pasta, then my mom had the branzino and I got the salmon. We took half of the pasta and half of both entrees home because we were stuffed… it was a meal that served twice! This is a great spot for special occasions or just a fun lunch out!

The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding. We both had cocktails that were delicious, started with the butternut squash ravioli which was delicious I probably could have eaten about five of those plates by myself! My lunch partner had the steak and it was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauce was so good I think he drank it at the end ;~D I had the veal Milanese perfect perfect perfect! We finished with the sorbet which was delightful. The staff were all so attentive and nice This place is such a gem and never disappoints. Thanks

I have been here many times and this was my best lunch experience. We ordered the squash carpaccio which is a must btw. Aslo, the argula salad with figs and hazelnuts was delicious with chicken paillard. I had a diet coke but was craving a glass of chablis but next time!!!!

Th restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the brunch menu was limited, but very good. The pasta dishes were all amazing - probably I ate the best pesto in my life. Every dish was fantastic.
