   The food was imaginative, original and delicious. Service good but slightly detached and managerial. Location was in temporary premises but worked very well. Given the high standard of the offer the price was very reasonable.

   We went to Colombo 16 on Friday night, thankfully they called after we booked to let us know they are temporarily in the cake room on Robertson Street while there are some works on their normal space. The cocktails and delicious, I was particularly impressed with the white negroni and the coconut old fashioned was also a winner. The food is all incredibly delicious we easily found plenty of options for everyone's dietary requirements. The aubergine is incredible, we ordered a second portion! The king oyster mushrooms were also a delight - hot, sour and so light and crispy.

   I always have a great experience at Columbo 16 and loved the pop up in Hastings while the main restaurant is under maintenance. The food was stunning & the service as ever is friendly and attentive oh and the coconut rum daquari was delicious !! - such a treat, thank you and looking forward to my next visit

   Another fantastic meal at Colombo. The food was delicious as usual, particularly the mushroom dish. We love the fact that you can ask for the heat to be spiced up as we like our food hot. Great temporary location too. We'll be back of course.

   Food was amazing. One of the most flavourful meals out we’ve had in a long while. They were open as a pop up in the Cake Room and even though they were outside of their usual home, they didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to go back!

   Really enjoyed our evening at the Colombo 16 popup at The Cake Room in Hastings. Lovely intimate venue, with attentive staff and the food was delicious. A different atmosphere from the usual St Leonards venue - more romantic and cosy with candles on all the tables. A special evening for a reasonable price.

   They are currently in the Cake Room in Hastings in the evenings. Venue was warm, Welcoming and comfortable. Food was magnificent, as always. Fried chicken was crispy, tasty and just the right amount of spice. Beef curry is the star of the show for me. Earthy, rich depth of flavour. 10/10. Lots of vegetarian options too. Service is wonderful, great knowledge of the dishes available and we always receive a warm welcome. I honestly can’t recommend it enough.

    Probably the worst restaurant experience we have had a Columbo. The service was absolutely horrendous. We felt like a wasp at a tea party by some of the staff! Menu had only 6 items available and ran out of drinks, even though we waited so long just to order 1 drink and then to order food not only to chase up our drinks again. Food was good nothing special and some items I.E nibbles extremely overpriced for what you get. Atmosphere was ok due to it being busy and a small venue. Also the venue changed due to circumstances, so we fully understand maybe why there was such a small and poor menu choice, as they were not working from a familiar setting etc… however this doesn’t give a reason for poor table service. We requested the bill, it arrived within 30 seconds and then they charged us for an item we ordered and didn’t receive when we checked the bill. We paid this and then we see they had the audacity to charge us service at 10% without even advising us, so this too leaves a very sour taste. We certainly won’t ever be going back or recommending the restaurant going forward. Overall extremely disappointing with the basics of how to run a restaurant.
