Cityside Tavern has been a staple in Cleveland Circle since 1985. We underwent a renovation in January 2020, now our space is rustic and airy featuring beautiful brickwork and barn-board from Maine. Our bi-level space features two bars, a separate dining room and an awesome roof deck overlooking Cleveland Circle
Our dinner menu consists of elevated comfort food along hearty New England fare, killer burgers and sandwiches. We also feature a lunch menu during the weekdays and a weekend brunch program.
We feature a full bar with a draft beer program focusing on some of the best local Craft breweries as well a cocktail program with riffs on some classics, as well as our own unique creations.
Cityside Tavern is the perfect place for large groups, semi-private events, watching our local sporting teams or just a chill night at one of our bars with our awesome team. We host Trivia on Wednesdays and Brunch on Saturday & Sunday. See you soon!

Cityside Tavern is a casual restaurant spot in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood and a great place to dine with friends or that special someone. Plenty of television screens are scattered everywhere to catch live sports action, the ambiance has the young college crowd (being near Boston College), the music is moderate in volume and the menu has many excellent food options to choose from. The restaurant is divided into two floors – one downstairs section and one upstairs section – to allow for additional seating capacity. In the summer season, an outdoor seating patio on the second level gives patrons a great view of the traffic flow through Cleveland Circle. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an upscale dining experience in one of Boston’s bustling neighborhoods.

Nice menu — primarily pub grub. Lots of TVs with sports. Was a bit cold before they closed the windows. Good server.

My biggest issue was that I booked a reservation multiple days prior to event. I got a call the morning of stating that we would be limited to 2 hours at the table due to demand. No issue with that, if they would have told me in advance. I had guests in from out of town and a gap in planning due to the timing of this announcement. Spoke to the manager, who could have cared less. Go somewhere else to spend your hard earned money!

We decided to go there once the view it's beautiful if you're sitting outside. The food is fantastic, really great the flavor is there, also the drink are amazing brunch time for us was great the service was excellent. Definitely coming back again.

Fantastic servers! We had a dish that the server offered a redo when she heard it was dry. Our person just asked for some sauce to moisten it-the server ended up taking it off the bill. She got a great tip!!

Great location with open air dining, solid menu and fast friendly service. Portions were reasonably ample and priced appropriately. Good variety of beer and wine. Very easy and enjoyable experience.
