Hostess was quite rude and that being the first interraction at the restaurant somewhat set the mood for the rest of the visit. We asked if we could sit at the table by the window and she rudely responded that those have been reserved, yet there was no signs posted nor was seating by the window reservation option available upon us reserving the table initially. In the past it was clarified to me those were on first come first serve basis if no parties were seated at the time. We ordered loaded fries that was blant, undercooked, and brisket being one of the ingredients , was nowhere to be found on the plate. Savior of the visit was your wonderful, amazing server. I believe her name was Shirley. She was very sweet, accommodating, answered all the questions, double checked if she was not sure. She came around our table often ensuring we were oky and if we needed anything else. She offered to bring us a taste of specific beer we inquired and chatted with us, even though it was busy. Beers we did order were delicious and we enjoyed the large selection and ability to build our own flight. Overall, there are slim chances of us returning, and if we did , it would solely be due to Shirley.

We had requested a booth to watch March madness and originally didn’t have one facing the TVs but the hostess was able to work it out. Server was delightful and food was fabulous! We had the duck nachos and fried pickles and espresso martini was delicious as were the beer selections. Always great experience at City Works!

Everything very good with one exception. Of 11 entrees ordered, 1 cheddar cheeseburger had spicy hot seasoning not on any burger ever ordered previously and not desired.

Our server was so nice and attentive. The food tonight was subpar. The pulled pork was cold but even worse it was hard and cartilage-like. Had to pick it up and eat like a chicken bone around the fat. The sides were also cold, barely warm. The other meal was a salad so temp was not an issue. I usually order the burgers. I’ll stick with what I know is good next time.

The server seemed like she didn't want to be there or to serve us. At first she was attentive, but we don't spend a lot of money and are rather conservative in our spending. It just seemed like she new that we weren't going to order a lot of food. However we did order beer, appetizer, and main meal. She just seemed less helpful after we ordered. Like my diet coke wasn't getting refilled, etc. She didn't check in with us, to see if we needed anything else. However she did want to point out that they had dessert options about 5 min before bringing the check. For Valentine's Day diner, this was a rare thing for us with 3 kids and finally finding a place we can have drop off the kids. Her lack of attention and what seemed like eyes rolling, kinda made me a little annoyed at the City Works. Maybe she really didn't want to be there and maybe she rather be their significant other. However when I am customer facing in my line of work, I never take it out on my customers. Anyways, food was good and maybe I need to try it again, just with a different server.
