Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

We've been here 1/2 a dozen times and each time is amazing. The food and the service are exceptional. By far, this is the best fine dining restaurant in Georgetown. From the reception, to the service at the table, to the quality and presentation of the food, they are second to none! So glad this restaurant is open in Georgetown! Nathan did an amazing job as our server. My only criticism would be to please expand the wine list.

The restaurant is amazing as always. Spent time in the Brass Peacock Speakeasy while we waited. The new club is fabulous and really captures the speakeasy period.

JP our server was great! So personable and attentive. The food was amazing. We had the Sunday brunch and all enjoyed what we ordered. We were celebrating an engagement and they acknowledged it with free dessert and a congratulatory card on our table :) We will definitely be back.

We have eaten here before, but this was our first time for a Sunday brunch. It was our anniversary and we enjoyed splurging for an amazing meal. It did not disappoint!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at City Post in Georgetown, Texas, to celebrate our anniversary, and I must say, it was an experience that elevated our celebration to new heights! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the stage for a memorable evening. The service was impeccable - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure our evening was nothing short of spectacular. They recommended dishes that didn't disappoint, and their enthusiasm for the menu was infectious. Now, let's talk about the food! The steaks were phenomenal - cooked to perfection with a rich, flavorful char that only a true steakhouse can achieve. The quality of the meat was evident in every bite, making it a highlight of our meal. However, the star of the show for us was the Lobster Mac and Cheese. This dish was an absolute revelation! The creamy, cheesy sauce, combined with chunks of succulent lobster, created a harmony of flavors that was both comforting and luxurious. Celebrating our anniversary at City Post made the occasion truly special. The combination of excellent service, a cozy yet elegant atmosphere, and, of course, the outstanding food, made for an evening we'll cherish for years to come. Highly recommend City Post for anyone looking to add a touch of gourmet to their celebrations or simply for a night out that promises to be unforgettable.
