Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

Grahm, our server, was fabulous. This the the third time we have had the fortune to have him lead us through this wonderful venture. Tonight’s experience was just wonderful, from the Creamy mushroom soup, delicious crab cake and homemade mayonnaise, deliciously prepared filet mignon slider, and then and exquisite chocolate mousse. Incroyable.!!!! The somolier helped us chose a lovely Bordeaux which paired well with each course. Bravo!!!

Fantastic Sunday Brunch to celebrate the Father In Law's birthday. We look forward to trying a dinner soon! Service was outstanding and the food was excellent.

I took my wife for her birthday. They told her happy birthday as we checked in and had a card waiting for her at the table that the whole shift had signed. We thought that was sweet. The food was delicious, as expected! The four onion soup was a favorite. Our server was great and so were the rest of the staff members also helping throughout the night. We really liked the ambiance. We’d like to go back and try the Tuesday experience.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. We also had an amazing piano player present the night we were in. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Georgetown.

Always an amazing experience. Top notch staff from maitre d' to the head chef! Food was perfection, as always. We love coming here for the consistently good service, quality food, and elevated from jeans-and-a-t-shirt ambiance that is more typical for Texas. It is great not having to drive into Austin for a 5 star meal.

Excellent experience! Food was amazing. Amy was wonderful serving us & everyone accommodating vegan diets. Luke did a superb job with cocktails. We couldn’t be happier & will be back. Thank you all!

Food was amazing.. Had the 10oz filet with lobster Mac & cheese and asparagus. Hubby had the 7 ox filet and a loaded baked potato.

Food quality was good, but not worth the five star restaurant pricing. Shrimp cocktail was cooked perfectly. Lobster was overcooked. We expected the tomahawk pork chop to be a much thicker cut. Sea bass lacked flavor.
