This was our first time at Chucks since the new ownership. The lighting is much better in there, which was nice. Also great that they continued the tradition of the salad bar. The service was decent at best. It was very loud for a higher end steak house, and I was surprised to see a large TV that was on, above the fireplace in the main dining room. my biggest disappointment was that I had ordered a filet cooked medium. It arrived so very rare that I could not eat it, it was purple in the middle. The server did take it back right away, but it took about 15 or so minutes to get it back, and the rest of my party were almost done with their meals. It was the same filet, as it still had my large cut through the middle, so cant really blame it on them making a new steak. Not sure we would go back anytime real soon, I just expected better for the prices.

Chuck’s Steak house was a great dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the value for the quality was outstanding!!! The owner is very friendly as well as the staff. My husband and I are looking forward to returning. Actually I can’t wait!

As a lifelong Chuck's patron, I was worried about the transition to new ownership. But the other Barbarie restaurants have been very good so I was looking forward to what this place had to offer. My son and I both ordered the 8 oz filet wrapped in bacon, both Medium. His was gray inside, and mine was barely pink. Chuck's version of "medium" back in the day was more red inside than other steak places, but even so, our steaks were way overcooked for what a filet mignon should be. Even after sending his back, my son's new steak was still cooked more than medium. The price of our steaks was around $40 each, and for that money you had better nail that steak on the head, especially since it is a la carte. It is a steak place, folks, you need to get the basics down! Also, not to knit pick, but they ran out of bread at the salad bar and never brought more out even after we asked.

Food was very good and served nicely. Service was prompt. Daily special was delicious. I especially liked the well stocked salad bar.
