Anxious to try this relatively new place. Unfortunately the place was not up to our expectations. A very expensive wine list with bottles at $1000 was on wrinkled torn paper, not in a leather book. Menu looked like many people handled it. Just that was a bad first impression. They did have multiple servers food the HOT food, but over all the quality was no up to par with so many excellent restaurants on our island. For the money, this was not a great choice, but we have to admit, many people were laughing and enjoying their time. A festive singer was there as well.

AGN (Another Good Night) at the Chop House. The Halibut Special was very good. Anita, our server was very attentive to our needs and Manny the bar guy kept our glasses full. Very friendly crowd at the bar made for lively conversation. Lou L.

The Chophouse 119 IS THE premium steakhouse on Hilton Head. The menu is quite diverse for those looking for something different such as their Salmon or Halibut dishes, expertly prepared. But this is about prime dry-aged beef and chops. The filet mignon snd NY strip are tender, succulent with exceptional taste. Add a butter, especially the truffle butter! Salads and Sides are all Sharable, even the two baked potatoes the size of a football. And for a special and unique taste, try the Wagyu beef, 4 ounces…incomparable. But most of all the Chophouse 119 is about great service and a friendly inviting evening. You will not be rushed.

Greeted by hostesses politely and friendly. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean. We started w/a Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters Rockefeller and warm bread all were delicious. Our entrees were both Filets and cooked perfectly and could have been cut with a butter knife. I would highly recommend

A bit pricey however worth it! Not stingy portions and quality of food excellent. So yes, worth every bite!!

Had a great evening, and really good food and great service. Party of 5, 4 out of the five had never been and all said they would come back.
