Chifley’s Bar & Grill pays homage to the region’s wineries and boutique food producers with a seasonal, modern menu. Chef Saju Rajappan and his team cater to discerning travellers, diplomats, and businesspeople with classic but inventive dishes that are as delicious as they are gorgeous to look at.

Steaks, seafood, chicken, and other dishes cooked on the grill are a speciality. The menu also features pasta, risotto, a wide range of vegetarian options, dishes designed for sharing, and tempting desserts. A wide range of local and international wines, cocktails, craft beers and ciders are available for your drinking pleasure.

Chifley’s Bar & Grill is named after the 16th Prime Minister of Australia, Ben Chifley, who loved dining here and frequently enjoyed a tipple in the bar. In honour of his favourite drink, the whisky bar has a specially curated menu taking guests on a sensory journey of whiskies around the world.

Our menu has been designed to bring you the best Australian cuisine has to offer, with refreshing comfort for the season. Start your meal with an entrée perfect to share with your loved ones, followed by a mouth-watering selection of prime meats from our famous grill, and cap it off with a sweet finish from our dessert menu. Outstanding Valentines Day experience. When notified of a seafood allergy in the set menu they provided an excellent alternative without fuss. Very impressed with the staff and the even coordinator.

We had a wonderful evening. Excellent ambience, decor, and service. Thank you. We will see you again soon. We have already booked our next dining experience. Also used our NRMA membership 25% discount, which made good value even better. Highly recommended.

We ate early which worked well as restaurant was not too busy. Food excellent. Staff friendly. A few delays in clearing the table. We’ll definitely be back before too long.

Three of us enjoyed a tasty lunch. We sat outside as a noisy gathering of 16 people were dining inside in the aircon. Service was mediocre for the standard of the hotel. After finishing our food and drinks, the glasses were taken away, but not the empty plates. We then had coffee and chatted for another half hour or so. Still the empty plates were not collected. Appeared to be one person collects the glasses: another the finished plates.

Disappointed overall. Beautiful night and the fire / heating was on, quite warm in restaurant. We were seated in the corner, no candle/lighting as per other tables. Big fly was near our table. Had to wait abit before waiter asked for drinks No Bombay gin Was looking forward for to chef special and you ran out No option take take leftover food home. Asked waitress for bill and she never returned so we just on our way out. Again quite disappointed as it was our Anniversary dinner.

The food was good, but the service seemed a bit disorganised, although it was a quiet evening. The staff tried to be attentive, but there was an unfortunate mistake with the initial order - one diner's order was missed, and there was a very long delay in rectifying that, with the other three diners having their meals go cold whilst waiting. It would be preferred that all meals for each course could be served at the same time, as even the desserts did not arrive together, leaving some of the diners waiting quite some time, wishing not to start eating before the others had received their food. The background noise was quite high (the music seemed to make other diners talk even louder!) making it difficult for one of the diners (wearing a hearing aid) to hear anything clearly.

Delicious dinner. We enjoyed steak, salmon and lamb shanks. Good service and live music was not too loud.

Staff were not fussed, non-attentive and seemed very bored… Room music left on while the live guitar player was also playing …food definitely average for the price as was the overall experience.

Nice meal. Main disappointment was to be advised that only limited menu was available. Considering it was Friday night this seemed strange. We had checked the menu out beforehand and what we had planned on having wasn’t available in the limited selection.
