We Italians like to say that a gesture is worth 1000 words. When our hands aren’t in use, creating or experimenting with canvas and brushes, marble and chisel, pan and pot, we mould air with our fingers. CHE VUOI which translates to ‘what do you want’ is often an involuntary gesture, something we can’t help doing… Like sharing our love for Nonna’s rustic family dishes, fresh homemade pastas, artisan wood fire pizzas and great wines in a simple and relaxed atmosphere. We have eaten here many times and always enjoy our meals. However, on this occasion, the food was well below par. All six of us had issues with our meals. The spaghetti marinara was tasteless, the meatballs lacked any flavour, and we were overpriced for three very small meatballs. The pizzas were average at best. There needs to be a balance between turning over tables to drive revenue and maintaining a high quality of food. The service was very good, we did advise our server of the disappointing food as it was evident by how much food was left on our plates.

We dined Friday night 11/10/24. Montepulciano wine fantastic. Our shared Calamari entree very tasty and cooked perfectly. My partner had beef cheeks - melt in your mouth delicious. I didn’t enjoy my main meal. Tiramisu delicious. Our waitress asked about my half eaten main. I explained and said however it was my choice sometimes you make good choices and other times not so good. She took our dessert order and she then returned to say that she had spoken to the manager and they were sorry and my meal would be taken off the bill and we received 2 complimentary Limoncellos as well which came straight after. You can’t get better service than that. We told her we would definitely return. Thanks Che Vuoi!

Pizzas outstanding, pastas ok but Beef cheek very average- for the price 😣- completely tasteless and edible. At a very noisy table at the front of restaurant- Cocktail making right behind us! Couldn’t hear ourselves think! Could prob make this table smaller to make room for people waiting to pay for meals etc or even a walk up bar. Not sure there will be a next time dining in as such, but will definitely do take away pizzas.

Not impressed that there were dogs in the restaurant and both tables next to us had them!
