It was freezing cold in the restaurant everyone kept their coats on but it was still freezing, the red wine was cold and not room temperature

I ate alone on my way to Chatsworth and had a lovely meal. I ordered mushrooms on sourdough toast with a poached egg and indulged in sticky toffee pudding and cream for dessert, all served promptly with a smile. Made it a really memorable and relaxing day out before the excitement of Christmas.

We arrived earlier than our booking and was seared straight away, it was busy but was very appreciated. Food hit and excellent. The time we arrived was as one menu was finishing and another starting, but we chose what we wanted and it was accommodated. Was a festive feel with lovely tree decorated and nice treats to buy. The staff were welcoming and was lovely and cosy inside from the cold outdoors. Highly recommended for all, including the doggy visitors. Definitely be back.. again.

Lovely staff and super food in a very pleasant atmosphere. Well worth a visit. This is my fourth visit and it has never disappointed.

Excellent pan fried salmon, homity pie delicious maybe not so much mashed potato & more veg instead because of potato in the pie too, but the quality of the food was really good. The service was great cheerful and helpful too.

Had lunch here today and it was excellent. We both had Homity Pie, which was delicious. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. A really enjoyable experience.

Very disappointed the pizza was soggy and the Dahl not great. We don’t mind paying expensive if it’s good food. This wasn’t. The service is very good

It’s chilly in the restaurant, lovely and warm in the toilets. I love the decor and wish the menu had regular changes, nice that pizza was on offer today.
