Food had wonderful flavor. A couple of minor hiccups keeps it from getting 5 stars. Server took awhile to greet us , but was very attentive and helpful once that happened. Very pleased with our service! Crispy Pork was very tasty, but the pork was a little dry and slightly overcooked . The twice cooked egg in the salad was very flavorful and worth getting. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will return soon to try the other items on the menu.

This was our second visit to Chartreuse, and both times the food has been phenomenal! One of the best restaurants in Detroit!

Our food was phenomenal! Service was amazing; deserts came out wirh a birthday candle..very special night. Recommend this place to everyone.

Love this place for the creative delicious food it serves and the responsive and pleasant service. Everything was great at our table for 4 last evening. However the lack of light made it not easy to read the menu. Also the noise level made it very hard to visit with our friends. Wondering if they could find a way to dampen the sound. Overall it was nice evening at a wonderful place.

My favorite restaurant in Michigan. The twice cooked egg and Madagascar vanilla pudding are mid blowing.

This restaurant is delightfully inventive and conscientious re: wine and food sources. We shard 3 scrumptious dishes and please don’t miss the pudding!!

My comment to Dan, our excellent server, was that the food was "mind-blowing". Might sound a bit hyper but it's not. The flavors in each dish were delightful - really interesting and satisfying. We had two menu items and two specials between us, plus a made-in-house ginger beer and a novel (to me) Alpena, MI stout. Perfect. No desserts - we'll do that next time. We went for a late lunch and it was fairly quiet - but the layout and table spacing is such that you'd have a great experience even when it's full. The ambience is nice and the staff are fun. It's right next to the Detroit Institute of Arts and street parking was good - but there are parking structures nearby too. Also, the Q-Line tram goes right by on Woodward Avenue. The menu is so interesting that we have no choice but to go back!
