Cattlemens is a an American steak house and grill. The dining room is designed like an Old West-style saloon. Everything about the decor is an homage to cowboys, gold rush towns and cooking over a campfire. Each night there is a different menu item on special, whether it is the slow-cooked prime rib, 20-ounce T-bone or surf n' turf 8-ounce sirloin and jumbo shrimp combo. Steaks are king at Cattlemens, with several cuts of meat and different seasoning options. In addition to these hearty cuts of beef, there are several rib options guaranteed to fill up even the hungriest diner. These include a rack of baby back pork ribs, classic dry-rub beef ribs or an herb-crusted rack of lamb. The bar menu, or saloon menu as its known at Cattlemens, has several fine spirits, craft cocktails and cold draft beer.

The food never disappoints. We were disappointed in the new renovations. We loved the old look, but everything changes.

The hostess told us there was no waiting space indoors for our table upon check in so we waited outside. However, after about 5 minutes, it was just too windy and cold so we went back inside. After about 15 minutes, a party of 3 with no reservation entered and was seated immediately. I approached the hostess who said she marked that we left. I reminded her she specifically said there was no waiting room indoors so we were waiting outside in the cold and wind. Our waiter was the best part of our experience, visiting our table the perfect amount. The beef, was not a good part of the experience. The KC Strip had to be cut into tiny pieces due to the tough tendons. The rib meat did not want to separate from the bone and the sauce and seasoning on the ribs was far too sweet. The chicken fried steak was as tough as the strip. We did enjoy the fresh cut fries and tomato soup. Considering the Cattleman’s reputation, we were incredibly disappointed.

It was under construction and we weren’t aware of that. They did get us in earlier than our 9:00 rez which was nice.

Burger was ok, steaks were great! Cornbread so yummy and our waitress was awesome! Can’t wait to see full remodel

1st trip ever to Fort Worth & Cattlemen’s Steak house. It was absolutely great ! Steaks cooked perfect & tender. Very well worth the trip ! Our server was Debbie & she is outstanding!

I hate the fact that the history of the restaurant is being ruined! Looks like all the other “wanna be” cowboy places now.

My daughter and I visited the Stockyards for the first time last week as a Christmas gift to each other. Memories over gifts. And food of course! We knew while we were there we wanted real Mexican and the best steak! And we had both! Cattleman’s served the best steak we had ever had. The service was amazing and even the chef checked on us. I would travel back to TX just to eat at Cattleman’s!
