Catch Hospitality Group's eighth location, Catch Dallas, will be opening it's doors in the iconic and historic Maple Terrace Development this Fall. The 16,000 square-foot dining destination in Uptown Dallas will be complete with a two-level outdoor patio and private events in the signature space, the Emerald Room.
The menu will marry simple yet elegant seafood, sushi, and steak both globally and locally influenced alongside beloved signature dishes like the Catch Roll and Truffle Sashimi. Catch Dallas will feature premium Japanese specialties like luxury sushi selections from Tokyo's Toyosu Market and a unique variety of Japanese Wagyu, which is masterfully seared tableside on a hot rock.

We are big fans of the Catch restaurant group.. been to most of them and recently to Corner Store (wonderful). So this was highly disappointing . Is this the same group?? Franchise? It does not resemble the NYC Catch. The sushi is definitely not the same. Including the Catch roll. Rice was mushy and unseasoned. The worst was the lobster. It was spoiled with the ammonia smell. The GM came and said that it was off earlier on the evening yet they still served it to us?!?’ The service was so slow .. 30 min to get a martini and our wine came after our appetizer. It’s new, I get it but basically they opened it before the proper training or staff and kitchen

The food was incredible. The coursing was awful. Everything came out at once. We had 5 dishes on our small table at the same time.

So disappointed to be put on the patio when the draw of the restaurant is the gorgeousness inside. Not only did that happen, but we sat at our table for 30 minutes before anybody came to greet us. I finally got up and got the manager who apologized and said he was gonna have somebody start taking care of our table, and they were going to send a few things out, etc.. We proceeded to have terrible service. The server told us just to flag her down if we needed anything so it didn’t feel like we even had a server. We had to literally flag her down for every single thing and then on top of that there were so many servers that came by our table asking if we had whatever dish they were holding and it was just constant interruptions, but not from our actual server who we need service from… To top off the experience, they dropped our check with the appetizers that they were sending out to apologize with charging us for them. Luckily, I looked at the bill and didn’t just put my car down as usual overall just was so disappointed in the experience. I do appreciate both managers who were nice, but there was just no follow up to make sure that we had decent service.

We tried Catch Dallas after having only eaten at Catch LA which gets in my view is 5 Stars across the board. The new Catch Dallas has the same amazing menu, the food is great and we enjoyed family style so we could taste lots of different things. What we didn’t enjoy about the experience was we were greeted at the door with a lot of rules and rigidity. For one, we weren’t allowed to bring two small gift bags in and we were there for an engagement celebration and celebrating two birthdays. So we had to either lock our gifts up in the manager’s office or take them back to our car. That was not the best way for us to be greeted when we were there for a celebration. The staff is also instructed to get the entire order upfront and fast. You cannot order your appetizers and dinner separate, which was frustrating. The appetizers were brought with the main dish and I like appetizers first paced and then the main course. We were brought the wrong food on almost every single order either or we would order three of something, and get two. We did feel very rushed on the food ordering and eating similar to what others have commented. We didn’t even come close to using our allotted time which is given to us upfront. Overall I’m not sure if I would return unless the Management addresses these issues that really did affect our overall experience. It would be so much more enjoyable to have a fun welcoming experience with a little more openness to gifts versus rigid rule following. We took our after party to the Ritz and had a lovely time ordering desserts and more cocktails where we had a lovely time with the celebration portion, which was the whole purpose of going to Catch Dallas.

The experience was excellent from the food to the service, and the atmosphere. Easily one of the best new lux restaurants in Dallas. Get the espresso martini and the branzino. You’re welcome!

Such a vibe! Beautiful restaurant as well. The best part was the food though. Everything we ordered was delicious. I thought my favorite was going to be the famous crispy shrimp but the rainbow sashimi pizza was AMAZING! We had to order it twice! Great place for a girls night. Staff was super accommodating front desk even helped us out with some cute pics.

Went to celebrate a birthday dinner at Catch this past week. The bar area inside has beautiful lighting and ambiance, as well as the covered patio area outside. The bartenders were friendly and enjoyed telling us more about restaurant. Had a watermelon cocktail and mezcal cocktail, they were okay, but not exceptional compared to other craft cocktails I’ve had. The dining patio area outside had an elegant sophistication, perfect for group dining or an intimate date. Our waitress, Jamie, was wonderful. She went over the menu with us thoroughly, suggested various appetizers and main dishes, and was gave great service. Kudos to the rest of the service staff at Catch, as well, who brought out our dishes, refilled our water, and offered us lemon/limes/oranges/cucumber with our water. Loved their signature Catch sushi roll, which they lit up with a flame, was a nice touch! The roll was tasty, with a mild miso honey flavor to the salmon. We also enjoyed the beef skewers (the best dish there, please order it for some tender mouthwatering flavor). Ordered the grilled octopus which was also exceptional! It had a nice chargrilled flavor, and was not chewy or tough, portion size was excellent. Catch is definitely the new see and be seen spot in Dallas, and I would for sure return to try some more tasty dishes, and enjoy their top notch service.
