Caruso's Grocery in Pike and Rose is modeled after the classic, Italian-American "red sauce" joint. You know the one: nostalgic photos on the walls , a killer chicken parmesan, Sinatra pouring through the speakers.     Good food, good drinks. Too much pork on the menu, would rather have had the chance at more beef. A bit noisy for an enjoyable conversation. Overall, good value.

    Our party of six had a wonderful evening. Every dinner was excellent; our server, Rubel, was helpful and efficient, and the host came by to make sure we were well taken care of.

    Ate in the bar during the playoff game. But they were understaffed for the event. Limited bar menu. But the mushroom Alfredo was good. WAPO bragged about the place. Not top drawer.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Caruso’s Market very much. The food was delicious especially the meatballs. It was a little noisy for my old ears, but we will be back again.

    The service was excellent, and the food was very good. We were seated at a quieter booth, as I requested in the reservation. Very satisfied.

    Caruso’s Pike and Rose is fantastic. Beau and Jamal took excellent care of us when we visited for our anniversary. Our favorite bites were the chicken parm, shrimp scampi, and the Oreo cheesecake (on special - if they don’t have it when you go, we recommend the Creme brûlée). Our favorite part of Caruso’s is how cozy and homey it feels - truly old school Italian vibes. The staff is excellent and they give great recommendations. You can’t go wrong at Caruso’s.
