A wonderful experience! The restaurant was charming and cosy with extra pillows to guarantee your comfort. The food (all of the food! We are a party of 8 and we tried almost everything) was delicious, flavourful without too much spice. The portions were generous, both entrees as well as mains. The food menu is small but carefully constructed to allow something for everyone. Definitely order the pineapple side dish! It's not everyday that you get to enjoy a ritualistic carving of fruit at your table ;D The drinks menu is extensive, colourful, and fascinating. As are the drinks. However the best part of our dining experience was the staff. Warm and welcoming right from the start. They took exquisite care of our every need. They delivered on every request with a smile. Nothing was too much for them. Thank you Cartel for a lovely day and we hope to see you again soon.

My partner and I have been to Cartel a few times now, best taco place in the city! Highly recommend. The staff are lovely and the food is to die for.

We booked in for $36 (pp) all you can eat tacos on Tuesday night. The vibe was great, the restaurant is stunning, the service was fantastic, really pleasant and quick, they also had great drink specials to go with the tacos, we were able to get margaritas for $12 for the entirety of our booking, however, the tacos were what let us down. Whilst there was lots of variety and they arrived fast, most of them were luke warm or on the cooler side and the filling was a little skimpy, leaving you with mostly taco rather than filling. It is also worth noting you must eat at least 6 tacos to get your moneys worth.
