We used to work in the RIE so it was lovely to meet for lunch in the old emergency department. Staff were very friendly and it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. We did not realise the menu was a brunch one on a Sat, but no complaints as the food was plentiful and went down well. Price was good. The manager was so kind in a note when I had to change the numbers of those attending.

Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was attentive but discreet. A very relaxed and enjoyable experience.

We had a lovely lunch which was well presented and cooked. We found the portion size quite large so some of our party only had starters which were very satisfying and adequate for us. The staff were very efficient and friendly, chatting when they had time to spend with us.

We booked a table at Canopy to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary following a recommendation from a friend. I am deaf/HoH so we prefer restaurants which are quieter and where the seating arrangements offer diners plenty of space. We were able to hold a conversation in peace and quiet and enjoyed our anniversary dinner immensely. I opted for beef bourguignon with a side order of honey roast parsnips and my wife ordered the roast Moroccan spiced cauliflower; our empty plates afterwards told their own story, we were both impressed, if a little bloated from overeating. Kudos to the waiting staff too, who are polite, helpful, but not pushy and allow you to dine in peace. The whole experience was one we really enjoyed, and we will most definitely be back, regularly.

Lovely setting in the old ERI building. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food and drink choice was just right and as someone who is Gluten intolerant there was a nice range of options. Food was beautiful, great taste and we didn’t wait long for it to be served. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone!

Service great!! Especially lovely warm welcome on arrival. Food not as good as last time though. Too many chips! And a bit stodgy. I had the avocado and chicken. Definitely be better on a wrap or flat bread and definitely not so many chips! Wee bit disappointed but friends enjoyed their haggis and cauliflower dishes. Definitely be back though.
