   Truly a dining experience from the food to service everything was exceptional.We were there for the Sunday diner preset menu , The chef was very accommodating with an entree substitution one day prior to our reservation date. The cleanliness was very apparent from the kitchen to the restrooms. Special place for any occasion.

   Canal House never disappoints. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel welcome and cared for. The food is always excellent. It’s a wonderful afternoon of dining and ambiance.

   Lovely location in Milford, NJ and the ambience is lovely only to be followed by a prompt and warm greeting, being seated then enjoying lovely service while feasting on an incredible meal. Just phenomenal and worth the price of admission!

   Sunday dinner at Canal House is a real treat. The setting, in a charming old high-ceilinged train station, is relaxed, spacious, and comfortable. The service is impeccable. The food is the highest expression of tradition and simplicity, not fru-fru or precious. The winter chicories salad is exquisite and delicious. BYO makes it all the more enjoyable. I can't say enough positive things about this dining experience.

   Well, the food was innovative & nice…..kinda. Portions were small, salad was visually pleasing, bitter & sparse. For $95, byob, couple of shrimp really, good soup, original appetizer, not so much of a culinary exploration, service & staff attentive. Classic building, would NOT go back, sorry Ladies, disappointed.

   We went for the pre-fix valentines dinner and it was outstanding! We will definitely be back to try their regular menu.

   This place is the best dining experience in NJ Elegant but understated! Food is impeccably prepared and delicious in every way. Pre fixe menus never disappoint and always willing to accommodate special needs. Been here several times for dinner both their Sunday night Italian meals or Friday evening. Special occasion place as it’s not inexpensive but worth a visit. BYOB too!!

    Lunch at the canal house station was more than just lunch, it was an experience! The ambience at the train station was exceptional, I felt as if I was somewhere in Europe. Our server was not only knowledgeable about everything that was served, her timing with all of the courses was perfect!  As a seasoned home cook myself, each course exceeded my expectations in authenticity and flavor! Even the coffee served with dessert reminded me of my grandmother's fresh perked coffee. The icing on the cake was meeting Melissa and Christopher , a dynamic duo!! I can't wait to return!!
