Food and service was amazing! A bit pricey but it was New Years! We were very happy with the total experience!

Fixed menu but not told about that before. Value for price was poor and service was average at best. It was New Year’s Eve so this could have played a part.

Our meal was amazing. It was a set menu for NYE. The portions were huge and every thing was fresh and prepared perfectly. Our server was so attentive. It was a great meal all the way around!!

This experience was not what we are used to at Cafe Rule. It is a pricey restaurant, but normally has been worth the cost in the past. Tonight’s meal did not meet our expectations. Drinks were not accurate, a salad came out incorrectly, and a steak was over-cooked. Service was adequate.

The waitress and manager were so very nice. The food that we got was very good, but they were out of almost everything my husband wanted but they were so apologetic and gave us a come back coupon and a free appetizer. We will try it again next month. 🥳

My wife and I had an excellent meal at Cafe Rule, our server was Holden and he was friendly, attentive and excellent at his job. My filet was prepared exactly as I like it, my wife's meal was exactly as she likes as well. Great food, excellent service, great interior and exterior facility ambiance. Truly the only metropolitan dining experience in Hickory. Without Cafe Rule, we would have to go back to Charlotte for a nice dining experience. We moved here from Charlotte and Cafe Rule is an oasis in an otherwise fine dining desert.

The steak was tuff, the Christmas tree was half lit, and the service was subpar. This experience was definitely over priced for what we got. At $200 for a couple to were, I would expect a little better quality. I’m not sure we will be back.

If you are familiar with the regular menu, it has changed, and doesn't seem to offer as many of its old favorites.

We always strive to offer a variety of dishes that cater to a variety of tastes, so it's disappointing to hear that you felt we haven't done that as often as you remember. Our server was fantastic and the food and venue were wonderful. We all loved the special French Onion soup and the appetizers and our deliciously flavorful meals.
