Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

    We haven’t visited C&S in years due to a move and one thing I can say about them is they are consistently excellent in every area. The ambiance is always perfect. We felt welcomed and valued in an inviting setting. The food quality has not changed one bit, it is still outstanding. From the fresh Beau Soleil oysters, chargrilled oysters, my favorite grilled to perfection Sea Bass, and the best cocktails, we were not disappointed at all. The service is chefs kiss. Our server, Mo, was attentive, welcoming, personable, friendly, kind, all the things. It’s no surprise, C&S just gets it right on delivering an amazing dining experience. We simply want to say, thanks.

    I started with the bone marrow and escargot, the oysters Rockefeller, and crispy calamari. Everything was very well seasoned and cooked nicely. For the main course I had the 8 oz. Center cut steak and the bronzino with broccolini capers and whipped potatoes

    I had to revisit this restaurant with a coworker of mine, and once again, they got it right! This time, we enjoyed the chargrilled oysters, which were as incredible as I remembered. However, we decided to venture out and try the tuna tartar—and it did not disappoint! Every bite was fresh and flavorful, a true standout on the menu. The atmosphere and service made for an amazing time. I’ll definitely be back soon, and I’m already planning to bring more of my colleagues to share the experience. Highly recommend! And thank you again to our server Davion!

    We enjoyed every minute of our time at C&S. Our waiter, Jayvion, provided top tier service and everything he suggested we tried and it was delicious. We had the chargrilled oysters, oysters Rockefeller, raw oysters, red snapper, and the filet - all worth every penny. If you decide to check this place out, ask for Jayvion, he’ll get you right!

    My first time at c&s and absolutely enjoyed dinner. Also my first time trying raw oysters and the waiter was very helpful with suggestions on how to best eat them. The appetizer and entrees were amazing and drinks too! Would be back for sure.

    I recently had the pleasure of dining at their Brookhaven location and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our server, Theodore, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Both managers stopped by our table to introduce themselves, recommend their favorite entrées, and share details about the special of the day, which added a personal and welcoming touch. The ambience was sophisticated and intimate, making it an ideal spot for a date night. We started with the RC chargrilled oysters, which were smoky and perfectly seasoned, and followed with the Red Snapper paired with fried rice—a dish that was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The entire team went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. It was an extraordinary evening, and I can’t recommend this place enough! We’ll definitely be back.
