Originally built in 1832 as the Cross Keys Hotel we have been serving the locals of Blaenavon and beyond for almost 200 years.

Unreal meal for valentine's day. So glad we got a cancellation. Always go for the steak experience but there's so much I want to try on their awesome menu.

Fantastic evening. First visit. Will definitely be back. Food was superb and staff very helpful. Food arrived without too long a wait even though the restaurant was full. Excellent.

We've been planning to book for a while following recommendations from friends and our first visit didn't disappoint. The food was beautifully cooked, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. We had a starter, main and dessert and it was all delicious.

This is our second visit here and there is a good reason for this. The food is absolutely outstanding. Delicious, ideal portion size and perfectly cooked. We opted for the sharing platter and asked for the steaks to be cooked med rare, it was spot on. Staff were brilliant in advising on options, as they could have easily encouraged to order more but said the food coming would be enough. It says a lot when you have to book well in advance for this place. The hardest bit is finding it! Some might say its a bit pricey but when the old cliche you get what you pay for comes out its clearly 100%. Plenty of times I have been paying more than normal for meals and been disappointed. This time its more than justified. Already booked for the summer!

I have visited 3 times now, once for the normal menu and twice for Sunday lunch. Beautiful food. The best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had at a restaurant. HUGE portions so very good value for money and you can take some away. Incredible list of desserts. Word of warning, don’t have a starter. I would have preferred a roastie or 2 extra over the new potatoes, but that’s just personal preference. 100/10 and I will be returning (if I can ever get a table!).
