I get it was NYE and they wanted to go home early, but when I booked, it took my reservation at 8:30pm. I got a call a couple of days before NYE and was asked if I could move it up to 8:15, which I was fine with. We got there at 8:10, and I had reserved inside, but they said I had to either wait 20 minutes or we could eat in the patio. After we were seated outside, they did offer to move us inside (and we did), but the waitress was rushing us to order, said the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes because they wanted to leave early enough to celebrate at home. We understand, but we chose to drive 1 hour to eat there because we love this restaurant, especially the one in Encinitas. We love the place and the food is so good. I just wish they would have told us they were closing earlier when they called to move our reservation. They just said it was cause they were overbooked. We just felt uncomfortable and again rushed. And btw, we weren’t the last ones to leave.

This was our 2nd time eating there, both times the food and service has been excellent! This could possibly be my favorite OC restaurant. Highly recommend it!

Noise was the biggest problem for our table of 6 trying to reconnect after the holiday. Food and service were great.
