Our Dining Room and Patio are now open!!! WE ARE ALSO OFFERING CARRYOUT, CURBSIDE PICK-UP AND DELIVERY FROM 11:00 AM to 8 PM Monday thru Thursday, 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM Friday and Saturday, and 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday. We are also exited to announce the return of our family and friends' favorite - the Bristol Sunday Brunch buffet. Home of the Green Chili Wontons, Louisville’s favorite guilty pleasure, Bristol Bar & Grille has been the city’s neighborhood restaurant since 1977. Original menu dishes include the classic Bristol Burger and aged, charbroiled New York Strip steak as well as new favorites like Pork Dijonnaise and Theresa’s Sweet Chili Linguine. We source ingredients from local farmers. Certified Bourbon Stewards are on staff to guide diners on selection of Kentucky’s native spirit. Bristol Bar & Grille East is located at 300 North Hurstbourne Parkway, north of Shelbyville Road. Guests can opt to sit in the traditional dining room or the outside patio.

Place was packed when we arrived but because of our reservation we were seated immediately. Very nice.

Normally I love Bristol East but was not too impressed NYE. Had reservations at 6 pm and we arrived at 5:45 and was seated promptly. It did take a while before our waitress appeared to take our drink order. I ordered a vodka dirty martini which was served in a small coupe glass which totally took away from the presentation. I did have to send the drink back, as it tasted as if it was straight olive juice lacking of any alcohol. The second drink was still very weak so I made a mental note to stick to wine for any future cocktails at this location. Ordered a salad which was lacking of anything other than lettuce and a few tiny carrot shavings. Had finished salad before we were served any bread but I noticed several other tables received bread with their drinks or salads. I ordered the Theresa’s Sweet Chili Linguine and my husband ordered the Pork Dijonnaise. Our orders took longer than expected to be served and while both entrees had a good taste neither mine or my husband’s were hot, as a matter of fact they were barely warm. Our waitress never asked to refill my water or my husband’s tea. Ordered an after dinner cafe latte. A while after placing the order the waitress brought our check and I had to ask again for my coffee. I realize it was NYE but the restaurant was not crazy busy and it did appear there was sufficient staffing and a couple empty tables so I think the our service could have been much better and the food should have been served hot. I fault our waitress, as I noticed other tables receiving better and faster service and I even saw another patron’s pasta dish steaming from heat. No doubt our entrees sat for a while at the pickup station before being served. A bit disappointed because I know they are better than what we experienced last night.

The waiter we had was training a new person and the service was not very good. I think the lead waiter was spread too thin & the new server didn’t check on us as we need more drinks & steak sauce
