We are a friendly, independent, freehouse pub/restaurant on Highgate Hill with Traditional Irish, Jazz and Folk music sessions, dining, fine ales, beers, lagers, porter, wine, craft drinks, whiskey and other spirits, soft drinks and snacks and outside space. Rooms available for functions. As Open table does not facilitatre us to differentiate between food and drink bookings PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK the kitchen is open during your selected reservation time if you wish to eat with us and so as to avoid disappointment.

PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN RESERVE WITH US FOR DRINKS OUTSIDE OF DINING HOURS SO PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK KITCHEN TIMES IF RESERVING WITH US TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. We have our wonderful and varied regular menu Wednesday to Saturday and a great Sunday Roast menu. We can provide custom buffets, canapes and set party menus to order

We have capacity for parties of up to 150 persons inside and a further 40 outdoors and fully seated indoor parties up to 75 persons. We do not privately book the whole pub and always reserve a little space for regular customers. We have two semi-private areas that are ideal for groups of approximately 30 people each

This is a very friendly pub with lovely food and a very nice atmosphere. The music was very pleasant without being too loud to speak over. Booking a table in advance seemed sensible. Overall we had a very nice meal and a wonderful evening. Definitely will go back.

A welcoming Irish pub with a good, well priced roast dinner and live music. Good ambience and service. More mid market than many other local pubs but that means you get a roast for 4 with a drink and change for £100 which is relatively well priced. Have been a few times and always consistent in experience.

The food and atmosphere are wonderful. Great Irish music. The downside was service. Made the reservation and when I arrived I was told that they don’t prefer late bookings and aren’t sure why it allowed me to make the reservation. I sat at the bar, as when I made the booking counter service was what was available anyway, and that was no problem. I initially ordered a drink, which took some time to get to me as the bartender served several other customers first after I’d ordered and paid. I had a hard time getting the bartender’s attention to place my food order, and after I ordered another drink, he began putting away glassware, forcing me to recapture his attention and ask again. I’d find it easier to understand a delay from serving other customers (there were none at the time), but glassware first? Perhaps don’t sit at the bar and the overall experience might be better.

Great Irish pub that serves a tasty roast on Sundays. Top place for a decent pint of Guinness, too. There is plenty of atmosphere. Feels rustic and authentic

Amazing food, really friendly polite staff, Irish Pub so really good live music and not too expensive on the pocket. My second visit and will definitely return again.

Ordered Irish stew when it cam it was just dark brown gravy with no vet and really hard meat swimming around I took it back to the bar and got my money back it was the worst food I ever had my partner had a burger and all she at was the chips

Really love this pub, fantastic Guinness and nice food. Best part of it is the live music and the level of dedication to St Brendan. Would recommend if you like a proper Irish pub with character.
