Celebrate New Year’s Eve with an evening of disco and dining with our Set Menu, Champagne and a range of entertainment that promises to bring the party. Should your plans change, please ensure you give us a notice of cancellation by the 29th of December at the latest to avoid losing your deposit. Menus and Prices are subject to change. I first dined at Brasserie of Light over three years ago, and while the location and ambiance remain as stunning as ever, my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. To start with the positives: the food was beautifully presented, and the setting is undoubtedly gorgeous, making it a great spot for a special occasion. However, some aspects of the service and food were underwhelming. The staff was a mixed bag—while some were incredibly friendly and attentive, others seemed either uninterested or distracted, which impacted the overall experience. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark this time. The chicken, while plated beautifully, was a bit dry, and the fries had to be sent back because they were cold. On top of that, despite requesting a specific seating area when making the reservation, we weren’t seated in our preferred spot. Overall, Brasserie of Light still has a lot going for it with its stunning decor and central location, but I’d hoped for a smoother, more consistent experience, especially given my fond memories of dining here in the past. I’d consider giving it another try, but I’d hope for some improvements in service and attention to detail next time.

Service was bizarre. The staff would be overly attentive and then forget about our table for 20 minutes, leaving us with dirty dishes on our table, empty water glasses and cocktails presumably sitting at the bar getting warm and being served well after our meal was served and half eaten.

The food and menu is very similar to the Ivy and quite average. Front desk staff seemed clueless - couldn’t find our booking and didn’t bother checking properly. The only saving grace was our server Daniel, who was exceptional.

This was our second visit and it was just as good as our first. Would recommend but book a table!

The lady who greeted us upon entry was surly and unsmiling, which wasn’t an ideal start. They gave us had an average table despite there being several booths free facing outwards. Our waiter seem hassled and keen to hurry us along, despite there being a number of other tables who had clearly been there a while. I notice that the lamp on our table looked well worn and rough around the edges. When I went to the loo, there was a pretty noticeable crack in the toilet seat. The place seemed a little worn out and not well maintained at all. Other than that the food was decent, but I expected better of the entire experience especially given the pricing.

Food, setting and ambience all fabulous as usual. Service was awful. Sat at table at 8.10pm, order taken at 8.20pm. Mains served at 8.40pm. Drinks turned up at 8.50pm. We had all finished our food before drinks arrived. Finished our bottle of water, waiter asked if we wanted another. We said yes, but it never arrived. I refused paying for drinks which they took off, but added £20.00 service which again I refused to pay. We had paid and left restaurant by 9.05pm.
