With the same fire that burned in the culinary belly of Ancient Rome, Francesco and Valerio embarked on a dream to open a cozy, authentic Italian restaurant in New York.

From homemade pasta, a time-honored tribute to their Nonna's lasagna sheets hanging on a drying rack on Sundays, to wood-fired pizza Romana, a thin-crust pizza, classic recipes like carbonara, cacio e pepe, carciofi fritti, and suppli, a Roman rice ball street food, you can eat like a Roman at Botte without booking an expensive flight to Roma. Then again, traveling to Italy is always a fun adventure.

There is a sense of Italian Famiglia, family, and kinship within the Botte group. Chef Antonio Costa opened the first Botte Bar and has returned to enhance his Roman family recipes from generations ago.

There is a table for everyone at Botte. Whether you are a regular or a first-time customer, patrons from all walks of life are welcome to dine in a Roman-Italian Trattoria casual atmosphere at Botte Ditmars.

My friend and I had lasagna Bolognese and Amatriciana. We enjoyed eating our pastas on a beautiful day in outdoor seating. Our server, Ibrahim, was very informative and attentive to our requests. Karina NYC

Fantastic experience and delicious cuisine. I usually go to the one on Broadway which is also amazing but wanted to try the new one. Both places are amazing and the pasta a la vodka is one of the best I have had at both places. I cannot wait to go back!!

Celebrated my wife’s birthday. The staff was very attentive & pleasant. The manager Ryan stopped by several times ti check in on us. Food & drinks were top notch. Highly recommend!

We brought Grandma here for her birthday and we all had an excellent meal. Arianna was super nice and knew the menu really well, providing guidance for excellent menu choices. Our meal highlights included the Gnocchi Al Profumo Di Mare, the Calamari in Padella Con Carciofi Alla Giudia and the Fettuccine Al Ragu Bianco. The mocktails were great (I don’t drink alcohol). Grandma loved that the noise level allowed us to have a conversation without being overwhelmed with the background music or chatter from neighboring tables. I returned a couple of times in the following week and was never disappointed. One of my new favorites!

We took advantage of restaurant week. The food was great and the cocktails we ordered separately were amazing! Nice table placement inside, it was 6 of us and we could all hear each other and enjoy an intimate dinner at the same time.

I was excited to see Botte open in the neighborhood. I booked a res for a friend’s birthday and engagement celebration since I had missed her party. I wrote in the notes about the celebration. Day of, I get there early and they still seat me. My friend shows up a bit later then we enjoy a fabulous meal, cocktails and wine included. Everything was fresh, we stuffed ourselves on a couple different pasta dishes. At the end, as we were waiting on our bill, the server & host come over to the table with cheesecake singing happy birthday AND 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate her engagement! I have never been so surprised (myself). I was over the moon. I was there almost 30 mins before my friend, hanging out, and never once did the host or server mention that they read my notes, etc. It was so perfect and I will be forever grateful for the gesture that surprised us both. Thanks Botte Team!

Staff was amazing. Took us right in at our reservation time. Gave us the option of indoor or outdoor even though my reservation was for outdoor. We chose indoor. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was very good. Portions were great! Chicken parm is huge!! Had to take it home. Drinks were great. Will definitely be back!
