With just 18 seats in front of our fully open kitchen, Bottarga offers a rare, intimate dining experience where you can witness the magic unfold. We are proud to be Brighton’s only one-hatted restaurant, recognized by The Age Good Food Guide, awarded two glasses in the Australian Wine List of the Year Awards, and celebrated by Wine Spectator.

Bottarga never disappoints. Somi and Federico are both so knowledgeable and always deliver amazing service, backed with amazing food. My partner and I love coming here to celebrate milestones together as the atmosphere is romantic. Their menu is always different, always new touches to the restaurant itself. Their business. is growing quickly, time to jump on board! If you're ever looking for a beautiful night out, Bottarga is the way to go. Such a hidden gem!! My wife and I had the 13 courses with matching wines and the food and wine paring was outstanding. The food flavours were fabulous, and the service was next level. The chef even took time to sit with us and talk through the dishes and ingredients. Thoroughly recommend to anyone.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bottarga in Brighton. We booked last minute, and it turned out to be an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, the cozy, intimate atmosphere made us feel right at home. Although we opted to sit outside since it was a beautiful day, we still had a view through the window of the open kitchen – a special touch that let us watch the chefs in action. The staff were attentive and ensured every detail of our meal was seamless. The menu, with its unique blend of contemporary Italian and Asian-inspired dishes, was a real treat. We chose the 3-course menu, which offered fantastic value considering the quality and creativity in each dish. Highlights for us were the crab spaghetti and arancini, both perfectly prepared and bursting with flavour. We went with the sommelier’s wine pairing, which truly elevated each course with thoughtful selections that complemented each dish beautifully. Overall, Bottarga exceeded our expectations. If you’re after a memorable fine dining experience in Brighton, this spot is a must-try and incredible value.

I've dined at Bottarga a few times now, and each visit brings something new and amazing. It’s a place that knows how to craft an experience, whether you’re looking for an energetic night out or an intimate dinner. On a busy night, the vibe is electric—everyone's moving, service is prompt, and somehow they still deliver perfection, even with a full house. The food consistently shines, with every plate showcasing fresh, premium ingredients that you’d expect to find in a much pricier setting. On quieter nights, Bottarga transforms into a romantic oasis. With open kitchen, the attentive service goes above and beyond, with personalized wine recommendations and engaging conversations that deepen your appreciation of each glass. I've learned so much about wine here, tasting new varietals I might never have tried otherwise. It’s rare to find a restaurant that balances top-tier quality with reasonable prices. Where else can you enjoy dishes featuring ingredients like toothfish without blowing your budget? Bottarga is a gem—an accessible luxury in a dining scene often dominated by sky-high prices. Highly recommend!

A little and intimate fine dining experience that was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Syarted with aperitivo and ended up having the Tasting Experience with Wine Paring. One dish better than the other. The arancini truffles cream was so spectacular it made me tear up - literally. The Sicilian DonnaFugata - Sedara red was incredible. Service was beyond impecable. A must in Melbourne.
