   Wonderful food and service. It’s a bit noisy, but still a nice atmosphere. Food from several traditions were offered - we ended up with Mexican, Thai, and Italian dishes. All great. Nice wine list, as well. Highly recommended.

   We are from the DC suburbs and are in Chapel Hill visiting for the weekend. This very small restaurant is deceiving from the outside but totally charming inside. The menu is small but very thoughtful, innovative and well executed. My husband and I got the red snapper and our friend got the chicken main plates - and they are absolutely delicious.

   Food was wonderful. Would have appreciated a larger menu, a few more choices. Service was excellent. Wine suggestion was perfect.

   Great Mussels and Frites dinner from former owner/chef Barrows from Kitchen. Dinner was paired with wines from Orsini wines and provided a perfect combination for an overall lovely evening.

   The Pate and Mussels with Thai Curry were perfect as were the Apple Tartin and Pot au Crème. The wine pairings were perfect. I say that despite these wines not being among my usual choices. It’s always good to have something different. Our server did a great job in a hectic environment. We went early so it was not noisy for most of our meal, but the noise level rose by 7PM and talking was getting difficult.

   Three of us dined early to try the early Sunday burger special. We know the regular menu is exceptional and therefore had high expectations. Chef-owner Garrett did not disappoint. I enjoyed the best burger I’ve had in ages. All three of us noticed the exceptional medley of flavors. Whenever you have a taste for a class A burger and fries—this is it! Go Bombolo.

    Excellent original culinary experience. Beautiful, delicious recipes were memorable—baked oysters, sweet, tangy sauce with a little toasty bite of bread crumbs; the greens and croutons in the Caesar salad were fantastic—like no other area restaurant; the seafood ravioli, the sauce the pasta were so fresh and flavorful; both the cardamom cheesecake and the Bombolo chocolate mousse pie w hazelnut crumbs were light, smooth and creamy and the hot fresh French press coffee added aroma and a perfect ending. We splurged tonight including sharing in a rich bottle of Bordeaux wine. Likely one of our finest, most festive meals for a long time. Merci Mille fois, Bombolo chefs and excellent service team! Fabulous date night!
