The Blue Agave Mexican Cantina is a neighborhood restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona that combines the lively atmosphere of a Neighborhood Mexican Restaurant with the comforting flavors of traditional Mexican fare. Entree's include Ultimate Chimichanga, Fish Tacos, Pork Arrepas and more. The bar at Blue Agave Mexican Cantina serves specialty margaritas, such as the Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita, El Maestro( Top Shelf Margarita) and Blueberry sunrise. Guests can also enjoy a variety of beers, wines and other mixed drinks. If you like sports and night life we have 14 TV's for all your viewing pleasure and the bar is open late into the night.

Not very busy on a late Thursday afternoon, but great service and good food. Prices and portions were very reasonable. Nice little outdoor patio. The ultimate burrito was really good as was the fish tacos. The shrimp enchilada was full of tasty shrimp, but a bit too much cream sauce making it really rich. Black beans, chips, salsa and rice were very good too. TVs available to watch sports or play trivia.

They were understaffed at the hostess desk resulting in a longer than expected wait with a line forming. Service was average, they missed several opportunities to do better. Food was good and well portioned for the price. The atmosphere was odd. Lots of large families and a ton of noise. Overall it was not horrible but I wouldn’t rush to go back anytime soon.

We have been going to Blue Agave ever since they opened. It is the best Mexican food in town. Our favorite meals there are the fajitas and the southwest chicken wrap. The service there is wonderful

We have been pretty regular customers for many years. The service is the #1 area for improvement. It seems that the last 2 times we dined on a Friday night, the servers took orders, dropped drinks and food, and only came back to leave the bill. We ordered two ginger beers and had to educate the server that these are non-alcoholic and that you have this, as she was unsure what it was. No worries. We had food on the table before a drink, including ice water. We had to ask for water on our last two visits. Our server never checked back on refills or how our food was until we finished our meal. We were forced to ask our food runner for a refill of salsa, or we would have to wait until we were done with our meal. You guys have a great restaurant, a solid menu, and a great location, but the service needs to be improved.

Our waitress made it. She was attentive and thoughtful. I wish I remembered her name but she was absolutely wonderful.
