Bloom Southern Kitchen is a farm to table restaurant located in the historic Eagle Tavern, a local landmark since 1702.

Bloom’s teams are focused on delivering an incredible dining experience that begins in the kitchen with local ingredients. Dining in our restaurant transports you to the south where charming hospitality and incredible cocktails await.

Due to our commitment to using seasonal and local ingredients, our menu items may change based on availability.

Tasty, well-made cocktails. Really lined the deviled egg appetizer. Corn meal breaded fried oysters were tender and mild with a good sauce. Crabcake entree was a bit bready and not much flavor. Deconstructed chicken pot pie was very tasty with a nice gravy.

What an unexpected and pleasant surprise this restaurant was, nestled within the old Eagle Tavern. The ambience and decor really aligned with the broader theme of a southern farm to table kitchen. The cocktails were spectacular, especially if you like whiskey, because they have an incredible selection. The sweet potato hush puppies were perfectly fried, and the honey and sauce were delicious. We ordered the short rib and salmon, and the chef was able to make adjustments to the vegetables to address an allergy issue. Both plates were licked completely clean because everything was absolutely delicious. We also got the skillet cornbread and while it was two cut slices on a skillet and not an actual skillet, the flavor was delicious. The only adjustment I would suggest there is the butter was chilled, which made it hard to spread. I wasn’t as excited about the dessert selection but honestly, I didn’t need dessert because the meal was just spectacular. Special shout out to our server, Maddie, who was perfectly attentive without being ever present.

It was a busy night as it was New Year’s Eve. Service was a bit backed up. We sat upstairs so it was very quiet. The food was excellent as were the drinks.

Great food and wonderful server. Only issue was the slowness of the kitchen. We waited a long time between apps and dinner.

I have never been here before but our friends recommended it for a New Year’s Eve lunch and it is a great spot. The food is fabulous and the menu has many great options for a variety of dining selections. The BLT with jalapeño egg salad is Spot On and my husband is enjoying the Shrimp & Grits…and he is a hard man to please. Possibly one of the best reasons for returning though is the great and engaging service we are getting from Wally, the bartender. We are seated at a high top and have the bar to our selves. Wally works weekdays and then also on Monday evenings, I believe, so you can be sure when we return it will be when he is here.

Food was phenomenal. Service was excellent. Great farm to table food with a cute atmosphere. Highly recommend! Get the tiramisu espresso martini and the fried green tomato blt.

This place is incredible!!! Delicious (and unique) food, excellent service, and the best whiskey list around. Highly recommend!

Absolutely a fabulous experience. From the minute, we walked in the door until we left. We felt like we were at home with family. We celebrated my birthday for brunch and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so very much.
