The total experience at Blaq for dinner was excellent the food , the service and the ambience. Would highly recommend it.

We loved the food, service and lovely surroundings. My wife ate the snapper and I had the beef. We shared vegetables and a dessert. Everything was delicious and portions generous.

The snapper ($46) was well cooked and tasty but the pumpkin ($38) was extremely boring. A huge wedge of baked pumpkin on a bed of chickpeas served with two tiny pickled onions and something called "sour cream" (unidentifiable) was overpriced and under appealing. Why can't chefs provide delicious vegetarian meals? The chocolate cake ($18) made up for the disappointment of the pumpkin and the cheese plate ($20) was good in its variety.

I absolutely loved Blaq at Blackheath! The restaurant is a hidden gem at the Kyah Hotel. Each dish is beautifully presented, the food is fresh and wholesome, and the hospitality is outstanding. I also loved the atmosphere with the gentle soul music playing old classics. I would definitely go again when I’m visiting the Blue Mountains!

We had an absolutely amazing meal at BLAQ. The food, music, wine (suggested by their Sommelier) and total atmosphere was fantastic. I would totally recommend BLAQ.

From start to finish, Blaq was an outstanding dining experience with original flavour combinations and a lovely team with excellent service. Recommended for a memorable occasion.
